On the night of the full moon, Leila felt giddy. The moon had not yet risen and reached its peak, but she could feel the draw of the lunar energy. Sterling and Winston also seemed to be feeling its power.
Callum and Xavier remained calm throughout the day as the group prepared for the evening party. Leila snuck a few glances between Sterling and Callum before she calmed down.
She decided to pretend she did not hear Sterling and Callum's conversation. Still, she wondered why the two of them decided to remain simple friends instead of moving forward with their relationship.
After all, neither of them could be with anyone else but each other.
