When Xavier and Leila finished their meal, they headed to Sterling's house. Leila looked up at Xavier with amusement as he entered his friend's house and told her she could use the room she stayed after being poisoned.
He even informed her that he had some clothes sent over for the times she would have to stay in the house. He did not even look for Sterling first and opened the door for her like he owned the place.
"Are you homeless?" She asked with a chuckle.
Xavier chuckled. "I am indeed homeless in Lake City."
Leila did not find it odd. Although Xavier was undoubtedly wealthy, she understood why he would choose to stay with his friend rather than purchase a house. In the village, she had a room in many houses.
It reduced the burden on her grandparents and allowed her to help the other people in the village as they taught her. The habit only reduced when her wolf started becoming unstable. She was afraid of losing control and hurting anyone.
