Leila did not try to look for Xavier even though she could feel his gaze and presence. She was still angry at him, so she was unwilling to talk to him. However, she made an annoyed face before stepping into the vehicle.
Unfortunately, her anger did not prevent her wolf from being happy. The formerly docile animal without a spirit despite the full moon was awake. If it could manifest, its tail would be wagging.
Leila felt very disappointed in herself. She should have been firm in her stance. However, the wolf part of her did not care. It even reminded her that he had told her he would be away for a while, so she should not be bad.
Naturally, Leila rejected that thought process.
She did not like feeling like a dog begging for attention, even though she was a wolf. When she liked something, she wanted it to belong to her completely and without reserve.
If she could not have something wholly, it was better not to have it at all.
