The man strapped to the hospital bed looked back at Sterling with those eerie eyes. It looked like he wanted to say something, but his teeth were tightly clenched as if he was in great pain and could not bear it.
His body was tensed up.
The muscles in his body were prominent and flexed. If one looked closer, the bulging veins on the rest of his body were also purplish like those on his face. The sight was a little terrifying.
Sterling stepped closer and checked the IV drip which was connected to the vein in the left hand. The IV bag was filled with a purple liquid with a strange green tint. It looked ominous and toxic.
However, it was almost empty.
"The pain must be unbearable, and you do not make sound," Sterling said with a strange look in his face. "Most would have been screaming from the torture. However, it is a good thing that you were silent."
