Chapter 1 - chapter 1

"No! That doesn't sound intelligent to me, you can't be joking like that" Eva cracked, she reached to the cookie plate which was on a small coffee table that had scratched wooden edges. There was small black spots on the glass which rested on the middle giving it an odd look which exaggerated how old it was, maybe a little. Eva sat on one of the shaggiest couches that ever existed in the twenties, little torn edges with sticky edges as evident of dust and probably that it was a man's apartment. She had been dating Leo since her third year in university, they just had a good relationship for they had meet in their music class during her third year. He was her senior and had charmed her right away with his handsome face and tall feature, muscular built body.

'he was still as handsome as hell!' Eva realized as she stared at his beautiful physical feature. Leo turned to her direction pointing her to the door. "what?" she asked as she looked at him smiling, "let's go!' he told her as he opened the door for her. Eva stood up from where she sat and reached for her jacket and led the way. Leo closed the door behind her and followed behind her, sliding his hands around her waist. Eva chuckled as they walked down the stairs. They stepped out of an apartment where Leo stayed and got a taxi for they were herding to their dance class.

Leo had developed his own dance academy in accordance to his musical career and had pointed out that it was for the both of them as they both had put as much effort into the production of the academy. Eva was the manager of the group and had to manage the dance practices while Leo on the other hand had been the rock star, the one on the spotlight. He had proposed to her a year earlier on her birthday and it had remained a memorable scene for her, he himself could see that, that's why he had been planning and they were already making arrangements for their wedding on Eva's birthday as well. It was quite a memorable gesture for Eva, she was over the moon.

"Allow me!" Peter, the chief security guard, of the Wills family said as he reached for the handbag in her hands. Belinda Smith was a seventy-eight old woman who had been married to Rolland Wills in their twenties, Rolland was eighty-three years of age with his three sons Bob his first born who was sixty years old married to Rebecca out of the business deals from his parents but latter on fell in love having to have his first son named Rolland, (Jayden) who was thirty years old. Rolland was fully established with his own companies. He was rated number one of the youngest richest man in his prime, followed by his younger five siblings Remedy who was twenty-seven, Ronaldo who was twenty-five, Ross who was twenty-three, Ray who was twenty-one and Rebecca who was twenty, his second son Bell who was fifty-five years old married to Olivia who had three children, Olive who was twenty-seven years old, his second son Olinda twenty-four and his daughter Olivia was twenty, Ben his third son who was fifty years old married to Pauline who had Peterson who was twenty-five years old and Portia who was twenty years old and Patience was eighteen years old and his daughter Rachel who was forty-five years old who was divorced with three daughters, Tilth the eldest who was twenty five, Tabitha who was twenty-one and Trent who was seventeen.

The sleek, midnight-black limousine glided out of the airport's VIP terminal, catching the shimmering reflections of the surrounding lights on its polished exterior. The chauffeur, dressed in a crisply tailored uniform, held the door open with a practiced ease as the richest man in the city stepped out. A subtle breeze ruffled the edges of his expensive suit, carrying with it an air of opulence that seemed to accompany him wherever he went. As the chauffeur closed the door with a muffled thud, the rich man adjusted the cuffs of his designer shirt and strode purposefully towards the waiting vehicle. The car's tinted windows concealed the passenger compartment, adding an element of mystery to the scene. The rich man's eyes, however, betrayed no such secrecy; they were focused, determined, and framed by an air of authority that demanded attention. Inside the limousine, the plush leather seats cradled Mr. and Mrs. Wills as they settled into luxurious comfort. He reached for the intercom button, a polished silver fixture on the panel between the seats.(leaning back) "Peter, we have a stop to make before heading to the penthouse. Take us to LS Company.", a husky voice instructed from the back seat and Peter knew what Mr. Wills meant in every way. The chauffeur, Henry, acknowledged the instruction with a nod, looking at Peter before he turned to the car, his gloved hands expertly guiding the limousine into the flow of traffic. The vehicle seamlessly merged with the rhythm of the city, its powerful engine purring beneath the polished hood. "Yes sir!. We'll be there shortly." Henry replied shortly.

As the limousine glided through the city streets, the towering skyscrapers seemed to part in deference to its presence. Pedestrians turned their heads, and the paparazzi, stationed strategically, snapped photos from afar, hoping to capture a glimpse of the enigmatic figure inside. Through the tinted windows, the city lights danced like stars in the night sky, creating an ambiance of sophistication. Absorbed in his thoughts, contemplated the upcoming visit to LS Company. His connection to the business world was an intricate web, woven with strategic decisions and calculated risks and had finally retired to see one of his grandchildren create a magnificent world record for himself and his family yet so stubborn, ignorant and so proud of himself. Roland had never met anyone like him before, be it his sons or grandchildren or any work colleagues of any matter. He had gotten his eldest grandson married through a lot of difficulty as he had to fix a business deal for him to marry but later on married the women he had claimed to have dated. The women he loved. He was brought back to reality as the limousine pulled up to the imposing structure of LS Company, its reflective glass façade standing as a testament to corporate power. Henry expertly navigated through the security protocols, and the grand entrance automatically opened to welcome the distinguished passenger.

The senior Rolland Wills emerged from the limousine, his presence commanding attention as he stepped out of the car, leaving behind the whispers of intrigue and speculation that lingered in his wake. His presents known, the proud grandfather, with silver hair and a commanding presence, approached the entrance of the towering LS Company building. The glass doors slid open smoothly, allowing him entry into the bustling lobby. Employees, focused on their tasks, looked up as he entered, recognizing the patriarch of the business empire.

The LS Company headquarters was a marvel of modern architecture, with sleek lines and expansive glass windows that offered a panoramic view of the city below. The atmosphere inside exuded professionalism and efficiency, a testament to the organizational prowess of its young owner. Mr. Wills made his way to the reception desk, where a well-groomed receptionist greeted him with a warm smile. "Good morning. I'm here to see Rolland, is he available?" he asked as he stopped in front of her." Good morning, Mr. Wills. I'll inform sir! ( she hesitated, it has always been a tough corner for them for they had to think how to address Mr. Wills the grandfather, Mr. Wills Roland's father and Rolland himself) Mr. Wills that you're here? Please have a seat in the family lounge, and I'll let him know you've arrived." Rolland had it specifically designed for his family members specifically, if it had to be someone else they had to use the executive lounge.

The family lounge, a luxurious space adorned with a family setting theme, and family photos, offered a comfortable setting for a family lunch whereas the executive lounge had a luxurious space adorned with modern artwork and plush furnishings which offered it a comfortable setting for meetings and discussions. The grandfather settled into a leather chair, his eyes scanning the room and taking in the subtle details that spoke of his grandson's success. A few minutes later, Rolland entered the lounge, dressed in a tailored suit that mirrored the sophistication of the surroundings. He approached his grandfather with a warm smile, and the two exchanged a firm handshake. "Grandfather, it's always a pleasure to have you here and sometimes it keeps me thinking about what should be pooping this month for such a visit. How are you Mr. Wills!?" His grandfather laughed before attending to his question, "I'm well, Jayden I wanted to see first-hand the empire you've built. LS Company has become a force to be reckoned with." (Grinning) "I'm honoured that you came to visit. Let me give you a tour of the facilities." Jayden led the way although he had also given him a tour a while back but there were certain renovations which he had made where he had installed a magnificent statue of his grandfather, father and himself.

The tour took them through the various departments of LS Company, from the cutting-edge research and development labs to the sleek executive offices. The grandfather marvelled at the scale of operations and the innovative spirit that permeated the company. "You've done exceptionally well, Jayden you never seem to stop to surprise me. the legacy of our family is in capable hands." He turned to his grandfather and looked back at the statue "like I have said before Mr. Wills. I've learned a lot from your experiences and guidance. LS Company is not just mine; it's a testament to the values you instilled in me, but you should also remember that I don't do this for anyone else other than my parents and siblings to have a better life." As they continued the tour, the grandfather couldn't help but feel a sense of pride for the legacy that extended beyond his own achievements—a legacy now flourishing in the capable hands of his grandson within the walls of LS Company.

The dance floor pulsed with energy as the beats of the song "Gasoline" by Daddy Yankee filled the air, setting the stage for a lively hip-hop dance session. The crowd, a mix of enthusiasts and skilled dancers, moved in synchrony to the infectious rhythm. Leo sat at the bench looking at the dancers on the dance floor. Eva stood in front moving in a synchrony to the infectious rhythm. In the centre of the dance circle, a group of dancers showcased their hip-hop prowess. The bass reverberated through the floor as they began with a collective bounce, their bodies moving in perfect harmony with the rhythm. As the song's tempo increased, they seamlessly transitioned into a series of hip-hop moves that complemented the vibrant Latin beats. The dancers started with a foundational bounce, shifting their weight from one foot to the other, and adding a subtle groove to their hips. This basic movement set the tone for the energetic routine. A couple of dancers incorporated the classic Running Man move, gliding one foot back and forth while maintaining the bounce. This move added a dynamic flair to the routine, syncing perfectly with the pulsating music.

To spice things up, Eva moved to the front as she executed crossovers and twists, rotating their bodies while maintaining the fast-paced footwork. The twisting motions added a visually captivating element to the performance. As the song's lyrics and beats intensified, the dancers showcased isolations and body rolls. Each dancer moved different parts of their body independently, creating a mesmerizing visual effect that captivated the audience. With a smooth transition, the dancers seamlessly incorporated elements of the Dougie, a popular hip-hop dance move. They swayed their hips, popped their shoulders, and effortlessly glided their hands through the air, adding a playful touch to the routine.

Leo joined the dance floor, erupted into spontaneous freestyle breaks, with individual dancers showcasing their unique style. Some incorporated quick footwork, while others emphasized upper body isolations, creating a diverse and engaging performance. As the song reached its peak, the dancers smoothly integrated the Shmoney Dance, incorporating the signature shoulder-shaking and shmoney leg move. This added a touch of urban flavour to the routine. The routine culminated in a dynamic group choreography, where the dancers moved in unison, executing a final burst of energy before the song's conclusion. The crowd erupted in cheers, appreciating the skill and creativity on display

It was late in the afternoon when the dance sessions came to an end. Exiting the pulsating dance floor, Eva, and her boyfriend, Leo, found themselves in a quieter corner of the venue, their breaths slightly laboured from the energetic dance session. The dim lights cast a warm glow, reflecting the flush of exhilaration on their faces. Eva (smiling) "Wow, that was amazing! I can't believe how much fun we had on the dance floor, it's good to know that finally we're there, I can't believe I haven't rested for the whole week. " Leo looked at her and reached for the bottle drink that was on the table "Yeah, it was a blast. You're an incredible teacher, Eve.", he replied before placing the water bottle to his lips. Eva looked at him and her gaze shamelessly fell on his fully shaped pink lips. Leo had inherited his mother's lips, they weren't mainly yet so tempting. Leo dropped his gaze to find Eva's gaze fixed on his lips. They exchanged a quick, affectionate glance, the residue of the music still echoing in their hearts. "So, what's the plan now? I was thinking we could head home, maybe grab a shower, and then figure out the rest of the night. What do you think?" Eva asked as she looked into his eyes. (glancing at his watch) "Actually, babe, I might need to head home alone tonight. I have an early morning meeting, and I need to prepare a bit. You understand, right?" Leo excused himself effortlessly. Raising an eyebrow "Oh, really? An early meeting ? Again?" Eva asked as she glared at him. Apologetically, he reached for her waist and pulled her on him, "I know, I know. It's just a last-minute thing. You know how it goes. But hey, you should still go home, freshen up, and get a good night's sleep. We can catch up tomorrow, I promise."(sighing) "Alright, if you say so. But you owe me a rain check for a fun night out, mister." Eva informed him as she played with the collar of his t-shirt.

Leo (smirking) "Deal. I promise we'll make up for it. I hate to cut the night short, but duty calls." Despite her disappointment, Eva gave a nod of understanding. They exchanged a quick hug, lingering for a moment in the warm embrace. Eva "Fine, but you better make it up to me, Mr. Early Riser." Leo pulled out from Eva's arms and reached out to his satchel "Count on it. Now, go home, shower off that dance floor energy, and get some rest. I'll text you when I'm home and where to meet up tomorrow." With that, Leo planted a quick kiss on Eva's forehead and headed toward the exit. As she watched him disappear into the hall way, a mixture of disappointment and anticipation lingered in the air. The night may have taken an unexpected turn, but with promises of tomorrow, there was still a sense of warmth and connection between them.

As the vibrant city lights twinkled in the distance, Eva emerged from the venue into the cool night air. The soft glow of street lamps created a gentle ambiance as she raised her hand to hail a passing taxi. The vehicle pulled over, and Eva gracefully entered, informing the driver of her destination. The hum of the city provided a soothing backdrop during the ride, allowing her to reflect on the evening's events. Upon arriving at her family's modest home, Eva was greeted by the comforting aroma of home-cooked meals. She stepped into the living room, where her mother and father were engaged in conversation. A radiant smile adorned Eva's face as she embraced them with warmth and affection pushing away the thought of Leo gradually being busy toward their wedding day, which was increasingly becoming a state of worry for her.

"You have been greatly missed!," she said as she hugged her Mom and Dad from the back. " Says someone's would be wife arriving home at this hour! Lord have mercy!" her mother inserted. Eva knew her mother never liked it every time she had to stay out late because she knew that her mother thought that her little sisters would deem it to be a good behaviour. Her mother, a pillar of strength and resilience, reciprocated the hug, and her father's eyes gleamed with pride. The familiar surroundings of home enveloped Eva like a warm embrace, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of solace.

She shifted her sorry self in to the kitchen as soon as she had had her bath. She effortlessly prepared a delightful dinner, each movement in the kitchen a dance of precision and skill. Her expertise was a result of years spent assisting her mother, refining recipes, and developing her own culinary flair. The work station reflected Eva's innate organizational brilliance. Every ingredient had its designated place, and her hands moved with practiced ease. The kitchen was her domain, a testament to her culinary artistry and meticulous attention to detail. As the savoury aroma of the meal filled the air, Eva's family gathered around the table. The shared laughter and familial chatter created an atmosphere of warmth and unity. Eva, the eldest daughter in a family of four brothers, Ethan, Ethen, Ehsan and Ethel, all of them where in their late twenties making Ethel the youngest who was nineteen. They were only a year apart from each other for there were sets of twins, boys there was Ethen and Ethen whereas in girls there were the last born Emma and Emily, Evelin being the fifth born of the family and Eva being the eldest out of the four sisters, had shouldered the responsibilities of her position with grace.

Growing up in a financially challenged but love-filled household, Eva had become a beacon of inspiration for her siblings. Despite the hardships, she excelled in her studies, securing a stable job and contributing to the family's well-being. Her journey had shaped her into a smart and resilient individual, embodying the values of determination and hard work. While setting the table. Evelin, Eva's younger sister, the one who came between her and Ethel, the last born on the side of boys, eagerly shared details about the dress fitting, her eyes sparkling with excitement, telling her about how they had changed into countless bridesmaid dresses. "Eva, we went to the bridal store today to finalize some details. It's all coming together beautifully. Maria ( her soon to be sister-in law) can't wait for you to join us at the dress fitting tomorrow, I hope Leo is going to be free since he is supposed to be getting his suit as well." Her mother informed her. It was then that Eva realized that her wedding was only a day away.

The invitation to the dress fitting was not just a logistical detail; it was an acknowledgment of Eva's pivotal role as an elder sister and an example to her siblings. The familial love and support that surrounded Eva in that moment illuminated the modest home, transforming it into a sanctuary of dreams and aspirations. As Eva contemplated the joyous events ahead, the challenges of the past seemed to fade away. In that kitchen, filled with the aromas of a lovingly prepared meal, Eva's resilience and determination shone brightly.

Jayden made it to the dining table where he sat across his grandfather. The rest of the family members also gathered for a sumptuous dinner, exchanging pleasantries and indulging in the finest cuisine.

"So, as I was saying, the latest acquisition has shown promising returns. Our portfolio is diversi
