Chapter 36 - A month gap

The beep of machines were resonating in the quiet room making her heartbeat the only audible thing in the atmosphere. Valeria's spinning head brought her to consciousness, opening her eyes and holding the head. "Where–am I?" Valeria couldn't grasp any reason as to why she was in the hospital. 

Sitting up in the bed clad in a white gown Valeria looked around in confusion. "Why am I here? And what–what just happened?" Holding her head while groaning, she could feel pain circulating in her head due to injury. "Is anybody there?" Valeria shouted in agony that she accidentally spilled the jug nearby. 

A nurse walked in trying to calm her down while placing her hands over the shoulders. "Leave–leave me alone. Why am I here?" Valeria tried to push her away when the nurse somehow injected in her arm. "Who brought me here?" Her voice turned into a bare whisper.
