"Everything happened just as you planned, sir." The vice president spoke politely under the obligation of duty. Markos smirked while sitting on the swivelling chair. "Do you have any other order for me, sir?" The elderly man asked while bowing with his hands tucked behind his back. Markos was leaning against the chair with fingers interlaced. He thought for a moment before deciding further to execute his plan.
"No, not yet. Wait for a while till Castello comes to meet the CEO. I am sure he will." Markos smirked and twirled the crystal paper weight over the table. The president nodded and walked out of the cabin knowing what he needed to do ahead. "I will make you pay for everything you have done to my Valeria. You will come crawling on your knees and will ask for forgiveness. I will make sure of it!"
Meanwhile, back at home Valeria shifted her position within the purple silken sheets. Extending her hand towards the left side she felt the empty bed. "Where did he go so early?" Sitting in the bed with her open hair falling over the face. Valeria raked through her hair and smiled happily while shaking her head. "Of course, he must be at work." Her thoughts were interrupted when her phone rang.
"I totally forgot about this." Disconnecting the call she got up from the bed. Heading towards her own room Valeria dressed up and headed to the corp. Going straight to the finance office she asked for a cheque of 20k bucks. Taking the cheque she went to her cabin and called the orphanage that she will transfer the money. "Goodness! Markos wouldn't notice such a tiny sum gone."
Slipping the cheque in her bag she smiled with relief when Suzy walked in. "Good morning, darling~" She slumped in the chair while eating an apple. "How was the party? Had fun?" Suzy inquired while looking at her with a naughty smile. Meanwhile, Valeria hesitated at giving her the response. She didn't want to leak out whatever happened between Markos and Castello yesterday.
Nonetheless, they both chatted a while and Suzy went back to her spot. Valeria left the corp and went to cash out the cheque. She transferred the money to the orphanage and came back to the company. "Hello dear~" Markos turned around over her chair and greeted Valeria as soon as she entered her cabin. He could see panic over her face which faded as she composed herself.
"Shall we go somewhere to eat?" He proposed while looking at her lovingly, getting up from the chair Markos walked up to her. Making his way up to her, pulling the woman in his embrace. "Lunch, of course." Tracing his hand upwards, Valeria gasped while looking into his eyes. "As dessert is when we reach home." Markos slipped his other free hand over her butt and smacked gently.
Valeria gasped and clutched at his shoulder tightly. She hesitated and averted her stare only to look back at him. "Unless you want to try something naughty here." Markos meaningfully whispered in her ear, stepping backwards he looked sideways. Valeria smacked over his shoulder when he reached for her neck from back. Pulling her hair gently Markos tilted her face to lick her earlobe.
"Markos, please." She tried to push him away but couldn't due to her body melting in his arms. Markos slid his hand down and grabbed her one leg to lift and wrap it around his thigh. "No, not here–" Valeria attempted to push him when pulling her face he looked into her eyes. She saw him grinning and leaning in to kiss her neck leaving a glaring mark. "Hey, no–" Markos paused and released her body with a smile.
Taking her hand Markos walked out of the corp while Suzy winked at Valeria before exiting. She seemed genuinely happy for her as the new friend. "We could have come separately. Now everyone would be gossiping about us. Goodness, Markos." Valeria groaned and leaned against the car seat while he drove. Markos wanted to take her out to his favourite restaurant especially after whatever happened between them last night.
"I don't care about anyone. But if you are worried about the rumours, there's one way to end them." While driving Markos looked at her meaningfully. It took Valeria a few moments to realise what he was hinting at. Making a surprised expression she was unsure how to respond. Markos held her hand and occasionally glanced at the woman. "You can think about it but don't keep me waiting for long."
Smiling at her, Markos squeezed her hand and then released after reassuring her. They reached a five star restaurant and peacefully had lunch. "Are you really going to deal with Castello's company?" Valeria asked while sipping her coffee, she didn't want to butt in assuming that Markos was unaware about her brief marriage with him. However, Markos smiled at her passionately and then shook his head.
"Yes, I am." He deliberately paused to see if Valeria would tell him the truth or not. Glancing at her face Markos saw how panicked she became. Twitching her fingers she looked at him with teary eyes filled with worry. "Please, Markos. Don't do business with him." Markos feigned ignorance and kept on sipping over his coffee while looking at her. "He is my–my ex husband. He belongs to a powerful family and it doesn't feel right to do business with him."
Valeria didn't see any immediate reaction from him, Markos peacefully took another sip; placing the cup on the table he glanced at her. "I know he is your ex-husband." This time Valeria was stunned as she leaned forward on the table in shock. Meanwhile, Markos was sitting calmly with a victorious smile over his lips. "And that's exactly why I am doing business with him." He leaned in and whispered to her with a lopsided grin.
"To destroy him." Valeria's eyes widened upon listening to that as she couldn't react. She didn't want him to do business or get involved with Castello in any way. "That's why I created yesterday's scene to draw his attention towards me from you. Now he won't bother you for a while since he has another headache to deal with first." Markos chuckled softly with a wink at her, leaving Valeria totally numb to react.
