Chapter 25 - Show Off Muscle (2)

None of their teammates were as soft-spoken as these two. Each was focused on building their bodies and increasing their muscle mass. Following the instructions of the 'system' and continuing with the training that his coach had guided him through, Kein now understood why many of his teammates were pushing their bodies to do extra training.

His body was aching and he almost did not want to continue. Kein complained about his tiredness to his friend but was berated for not understanding how much his friend cared about others. Even so, he continued to move his body even though the veins in his body stood out more and more clearly as if they were coming out of his body.

"Nice try, Kein. You even did more than we did," the captain came over with the intention of teasing him.

"Really? I don't think that's a compliment." Kein understood the hidden meaning of his words. It was just that he didn't get angry or yell out before the coach reprimanded him again.

"For real. Now, take off your shirt. Show me how much muscle you've developed," Gilbert said with a look that was not lascivious.

"Hey, that's so perverted. Don't you have lust for the opposite sex?" Kein immediately picked up his dumbbell again, just in case the captain turned out to be one of those he hated so much.

"You never show off your muscles after a workout? Damn, it's like you're eating but not drinking afterwards. No satisfaction at all." Gilbert chuckled, not everyone always shows off their muscles after lifting weights. There was a hint of disappointment that flashed through.

"You too, Damian. Looking at your posture in uniform, you should have more strength than him."

Without questioning the reason, Damian immediately slammed the two dumbbells in his hands carefully, took off his uniform and exposed that front body to them.

"You pervert, hahaha. Why did you obey Senior Gilbert's words?" Kein almost fell down when he could not balance his body. Not even once did Kein insult his friend's posture that was much better than his.

"I knew it. Then I'll show you what I've got." Without any hesitation, Gilbert was not to be outdone when observing the muscles on Damian's body that were almost up to the standard of a basketball player.

Kein woke up instantly, opening his mouth wide in disbelief at what he saw. Not wanting to be outdone by them, Kein followed suit. One of them led the three of them to a tall and wide mirror, showing off the muscles on their bodies that still needed to be honed.

"You tiny, like a little stick! You can't even compete in front of me. Go and train your muscles until they're as big as mine! Hahaha!" The captain could not hide his happiness. Raising his head high, he laughed grandly, like a villain ready to wipe out the heroes.

"Look with your eyes! We're not even that different. You're only superior in height, senior! Our muscles are just as big. There's nothing to argue about!" Damian emphasised the fact that the two of them only had a difference in height.

Meanwhile, Kein was speechless. His eyes were fixed on his body and their bodies that could not even be compared. His mouth instantly fell silent, his tears almost flowing when he learnt the painful truth.

'Bastard. Why is my body this small?' A long sigh called out to his two companions.

Instead of motivation or advice on how to overcome his difficulty in building muscle mass, a loud laugh shook the gymnasium. The trainer, who was sitting near the entrance, immediately took the initiative to pick up the pen he had hanging in his trouser pocket.

He threw it hard enough that it crashed into the mirror the three of them were using for their muscle-ups.

CRANGG!

The pen landed right in front of them. Without having to look for the owner of the object, the three of them immediately returned to their jerseys and picked up the dumbbells to continue the additional training session.

After an hour in the cool room temperature, they ended today's training session with sweat soaking the carpet. None of their breathing is normal, and their heartbeats are racing. Weightlifting to her is like a combination of athletic training and daily exercise.

Sherla can see the extent of their determination to follow her programme which may have been a bit torturous since her arrival a few days ago. They deserve her appreciation. It was just not what they expected.

Kein found it difficult to adjust his hand. He slowly swung his hand and indeed, it could not be moved at will. There were some parts of his muscles that were sore, such as the shoulder muscles.

But he still forced himself to cool down for more time, hoping to get rid of the pain that would affect his activities tonight and tomorrow. Meanwhile, his friend, who was only focused on developing his talent in gaming, did not experience the same pain as him. He did not even show a satisfied face as if he still wanted to continue this exercise without realizing what was happening during the athletic training session.

"'Tired? Or complaining that your hand hurts?" Damian nudged Kein who was complaining.

"I don't need your insults. You're just lucky that your muscles are probably much more ready for weightlifting than mine. There's nothing to laugh about."

"Hey! I'm not even laughing at you, you idiot! I'm just asking!" Damian immediately walked away from him.

Before ending the training session they had today, Sherla and Coach Marlon did not hesitate to applaud them even though the paleness on their faces and the sweat-soaked jersey were a little uncomfortable. As the new assistant coach, Sherla thanked them for deciding to undergo a new program that might seem cruel and murderous in a roundabout way.

She also said that this method was already taken into account before she officially became an assistant coach. She will not make her thoughts a form of training that the players must complete.

Her job is only to provide input and ideas that might be useful to them. But the cruel coach, according to Damian, took advantage of this moment and made it seem as if Sherla had more power in determining the method of shaping each individual than the head coach.
