Amelia watched in awe from her balcony window as a set of fireworks rushed through the clouds, exploding into a thousand shimmers in the night sky. Multiple colors were set off — blue, red, gold, purple — and each one was more dazzling than the next.
"That is beautiful," Amelia gasped in awe, and when she turned around to look at Matteo, she let out a small gasp by what she was greeted by instead.
"I knew I smelled the scent of roses!" she said as she walked further into the hotel room they had booked.
The wedding celebrations with the guests had just ended but that didn't mean that the day of festivities would too.
Matteo had made sure to pry Amelia out of the hands of those pesky relatives and friends all so he could have her rest early. There were one too many of them forcing drinks upon her in the name of celebration, and Matteo didn't want to tire her out that way.
