I sat hopelessly still inside a dimly lit room with shadows dancing along the walls as two lit candle's light flickered between Helen and I. On Alexander's permission, Helen had led me into another room after I took her hand, different from the one we were once in.
It was a darker room, one filled with potions of different colors, placed in different containers sizes. I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me this was where she performed her little sorcery. Alexander's disgusted face said it all.
Although I knew no harm was going to come to me with Alexander at the side of the room, I couldn't shake off the eerie feeling I got, especially with Helen's new demeanor. It had changed into a completely different one from earlier. Her face had also grown serious, different from the nonchalant one she once had. The steel dagger resting ominously on the table within her reach wasn't helping.
