The glow of the room's lighting, regardless of the scattered beams, was bright enough to enable one to see a person's face clearly, even as little as the faintest reaction registered on one's face.
As I stood there, I couldn't miss the little disgust that started to form on Alexander's face. It was a look that sent a chill down my spine, not because it was directed at me but because of what it meant for Lady Eleanor. Alexander had made it pretty clear earlier today that he loathed nothing more than lies. Watching him now, I knew he had caught onto Lady Eleanor's lies but how he caught onto Lady Eleanor's lies so quickly when he barely knew her baffled me.
