Alexa woke up without anyone by her side. Her eyes were a little swollen from crying for too long. Alexa let out a small sigh. Her knees were drawn up to her chest as she rested her head on her knees.
CLACK!
Alexa remained motionless when someone entered her room. The sound of someone's footsteps reached her ears, stopping right next to her not long after.
"Baby... Do you feel sick anywhere? Please let me check you."
"Do not touch me."
Dominic's hand which was about to touch Alexa stopped halfway when Alexa still responded to his words in a cold tone. Dominic's pupils shrank for a moment before his face tried to maintain its calm.
"What do you mean, Baby? I just wanted to help you. You fell earlier so I thought you might have pain somewhere else when you woke up. I was worried-"
"What do you mean I fell, Dom? I never fell, and I'm still angry with you right now," Alexa interrupted coldly. This time, Dominic was truly surprised. His eyes glanced at the empty food and drinks he had previously brought then looked back at Alexa with a confused expression.
"You... finished your food and drink I gave you, didn't you?" Dominic asked. Alexa looked up, her tired eyes looking at Dominic with hostility.
"Yeah, I finished it. So what? I'm hungry, can't I be hungry when I'm angry?" Alexa chided coldly. Alexa watched closely as Dominic's eyebrows suddenly furrowed. The man was so focused on his thoughts that he didn't realize he was muttering something that Alexa shouldn't have heard this time.
"You should have forgotten everything by now... Was the medicine not strong enough?"
Even though Dominic was muttering in a very small voice, Alexa miraculously could still hear her husband's words loud and clear. Alexa, who had previously calmed down a little, felt an indescribable anger within her again. Alexa looked at Dominic in disbelief, her hand roughly tugging on Dominic's hand, who was still deep in thought.
"Forgetting what? What drugs, Dom? What else did you actually do to me?" Alexa asked coldly. Dominic, who had just realized his mistake, was immediately silent. He tried to open his mouth to answer calmly.
"Your antidepressants, Baby. I just want you to calm down and forget all the bad memories you have. The medicine doesn't seem strong enough. So, I'm going to take it again for you. You're going to take it properly this time, right? You have to take it soon or you won't smile again."
Alexa's hands shook when Dominic's face, which was always filled with tenderness and warmth, suddenly changed to a scary calm face. Dominic casually took something out of his jacket pocket, a small medicine bottle that had several medicine tablets in it.
Calmly, Dominic took out two medicine tablets from the bottle. Dominic handed it to Alexa, along with a little water that was left from the regular water glass that Alexa didn't finish.
"Now, take your medicine okay? You'll be fine after this."
CRASH!
"I'M NOT CRAZY! YOU ARE CRAZY! ALL OF YOU ARE FUCKING CRAZY!"
Furious, Alexa threw away the medicine and the glass that Dominic held out until the glass fell and broke into pieces on the floor. The sound of glass breaking echoed in the quiet room. Dominic glanced at the broken glass on the floor before his expression turned cold when the man looked back at Alexa.
"Why do you always make things complicated, Baby? Drinking that medicine shouldn't be that difficult for you. You really enjoyed making me feel guilty and tormented from the start, right? I've granted all your dreams and wishes and tried to believe in you as hard as I could. But in the end, you destroyed it yourself, Baby. You confuse me again and again with your actions," said Dominic coldly. A pair of cold eyes that were unfamiliar to Alexa looked directly at her. Dominic adjusted his jacket in frustration, before walking towards the door without looking at Alexa again.
"I suggest you drink it yourself, without needing me or Rika to force you to drink it. I'm not in a good mood right now. Before I get angry with you, you should be obedient and just drink your medicine. I'll come back later when you're ready to speak with me with a cool head."
Before opening the door, Dominic gave his final warning. Seeing Alexa still not moving, Dominic's face turned even more angry. He left the room quickly, leaving Alexa who was again left alone in it.

"You... are you okay, Boss?"
Dominic, who was originally silent, stared at Jasper sharply, scary enough that the teenager turned around smiling stiffly.
"Do I look okay in your eyes?" Dominic asked while feeling annoyed. Jasper scowled, before looking at Dominic once more.
"That... not at all. You look like you're angry about something, Boss," he answered softly. Jasper could hear Dominic snort, before looking back at his tab which contained rows of names and numbers that were scrolling rapidly due to Dominic's incredible reading speed.
"Have you really made sure those rats don't steal our things again, Jas?" Dominic asked.
Jasper nodded. "We've made their lives difficult enough, Boss. Even if there are some people who choose to join powerful companies to oppose our company, they will still never be able to win as long as the trade market is completely in our hands. Flora has made sure everything goes according to your wishes. Because of that, you can rest assured now," Jasper explained. Dominic gave a small nod at the answer, his hand continuing to move across the tab to check for other issues.
"Then, what about your meeting with the trade minister we support? I haven't received any reports about that," said Dominic. Not hearing an answer, Dominic stared coldly at Jasper, who smiled stiffly as he rubbed his arm slowly.
"That... I've met him, Boss. He promised to continue to support us and pave the way for our products as much as he can. He also asked Boss to look at some new policies that he will publish soon. It's just... Um... I forgot to bring the report today, Boss," he said nervously at the end of the sentence.
