"Shiryu told me you're filthy rich," Ivar came closer to me.
I blinked, "And so is Oliver. Ask for him to buy you something."
He pouted, "Oli said you are richer than him."
Why did you say that?
{"What? It's the truth."}
"And?" I arched my eyebrow.
"Aye, new girl," Rio grinned, "aren't we all friends?"
"Yeah, you said it yourself," Dimitry also came closer to me.
"Friends buy friends stuff," Rio added.
I'm never using that word again. "What do you want? Just tell me and let's get over with it. Don't abuse the opportunity."
{"Kind of late for that. Once was enough for them,"} he chuckled.
Nevena's eyes almost popped up, "Wait, are you for real?"
"You're okay with buying us what we want?" Dora asked surprised.
"Can you buy me a chocolate cake?" Sabrina asked excited, not as surprised as the others, taking advantage of the moment to actually ask for something she wants. Then she pointed to a tent five meters from us.
Without answering the others I went there with her, and the girl was so happy that she was almost jumping like a child. "Which one do you want, sireny?" I pointed at the six types of chocolate cake in display.
"Oh, my, are you Hel?" The female baker gasped as she saw me.
"Yes, ma'am. That's my name," I winked. "What's yours?"
"I-I-I-I… I'm Aileen Paglinawan," Filipino name, tanned skin, tall around 1.80m, long black straight hair, Asian features, big black eyes, full lips, curvy body with wider hips. By the tattoo on the side of her face, which all the Krakens in the Academy has, I guess she's one too.
{"She definitely is."}
"It's a beautiful name," I smiled friendly. "Did you watch me?"
"Yesterday? Yes. It's broadcasted in the center of the market city. All matches are, but everyone was dying to see yours. It was insane," she beamed excited. "I can't believe you are here, buying my cakes."
Adorable. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. And they look delicious. Which flavors do you sell the most, Miss Aileen?"
Cleaning her hands on the apron, she came closer, "Choco, walnut, & milk jam. Choco & lemon mousse. White choco & cookies. Choco & passion fruit mousse. Lemon & strawberry jam. White choco & peaches. Choco, banana, & cinnamon. Pumpkin & banana."
I turned around, "Ivar, Henrihk, Dora, Agost, and Nicolette, do you also want it? Or will it be just Sabrina and me?"
"I want it!" Nicolette beamed like a child and came closer to me. "Can I… can I choose?"
"Of course," I gave her space. "Miss Aileen, what do you have to drink? Do you have some kind of juice?"
"I make the cakes and my husband the juices," she said and turned to a big fridge. "We have lemonade, passion fruit, grape, apple, pineapple, strawberry, cranberry, dragon fruit, and orange juices. There's water too."
I turned to the non-vamp kids, "Pick."
"Choco, walnut, & milk jam cake, with lemonade," for Sabrina.
"Pumpkin & banana cake, with cranberry juice," for Ivar.
"White choco & cookies cake, with grape juice," for my sister.
"Same as Nicolette, but with dragon fruit juice," for my brother.
"Lemon & strawberry jam cake, with orange juice," for Dora.
"Choco & passion fruit mousse, with grape juice," for Henrihk.
"For me it'll be a lemon cake with strawberry jam, and a strawberry juice. We eat a lot, so you can pick a bigger slice. And a big cup for the juices to accompany. I'll be paying," I told her and she nodded happily and satisfied. "How much is it?"
"The big slice of cake is €15.00, the big cup of juice is €9.00."
Oh? I thought it would be pricier. "Do you accept card or is it a digital bank account?" I tilted my head softly. "I'll pay now."
She licked her lips and brought me her card machine.
"Card it is then," I summoned my card from my necklace, passed it and added the password, then it was done. €168.00 paid successfully.
"You have a black card?" Ivar gasped.
I frowned, "I have many of these. Miss Mirna Marković handed me them when I went there before I came to the Academy. And why are you acting like this? I know you're all rich. You probably have a black card too, no?" I looked down at the card in my hand.
Is it weird?
{"To have an annex black card? No. But you have to be rich as fuck to get them. Usually, it's the owners of the accounts that have it. So, their parents do, but only me, River, and Rio have it."}
Oh? I didn't know that.
"Who's Mirna Marković?" Igor asked.
"Manager of the Austrian branch of the Grand Supernatural Bank of the Ministry. Father told me to head there to change mom's treasure into money of the new world. When I got there, they handed me to the general manager of the bank and she said she would be my personal agent. So, that's that. She gave me a bunch of these," I waved the black card. "And told me to keep half of my money on them, and that I could also manage them from the bank digital app if needed."
Rio's eyebrows went up, "Half?"
A nod, "The other half is divided in two. First part is on the physical bank as physical money, and the second part she advised me to keep on the Switzerland branch of the GSBM, so, I left it to her do that. About a week ago she sent me the cards for that bank account," I rolled my shoulders.
"How rich are you?" River gasped.
"A lot," I turned to the baker who was handing the kids their things, and that was when I spotted a horizontal fridge at the side with the logo of Magnum. "Miss Aileen?" She turned to me as she handed my brother his cake and juice. "Do you have those blood ice cream pallets from Magnum?"
A nod, "We have all of them. Even the ones made of animal blood. Why, do you want some?"
I pointed at the seven vampires behind me, "It's for them. I'll want fourteen. Two AB+, four O+, two O-, two A-, two B-, and two B+. Uh, I'll also want four extra O-, four white chocolate with lemon cream, plus two chocolate with peanut, and two white chocolate with strawberry cream. So, twenty-six. How much is it for each?"
"€5.00," same as the ones I bought yesterday then.
"€130.00 then," she turned the card machine on again and I passed the card one more time.
"You are an amazing costumer, Hel," she beamed.
I winked, "You are an amazing merchant. So, Miss Aileen, do you bake the cakes for a living? Or is just on the festivals?"
"For a living," she exclaimed proudly. "I know not many krakens enjoy baking for a living," she giggled softly, "but I love it. I like baking. And to be able to make a living of something I love, is my life goal."
"Do you and your husband have kids? You look young."
She blushed at the compliment, "Aye, it's your eyes, Hel. We are nine hundred years old, and have been married for five hundred. But we only managed to have kids sixteen years ago. Triplet girls, who also love baking. Amiha, Leah, and Joan. My husband's name is Marlon."
"You are good with names," I said with a soft smile. "You are from Filipinas, right?" Her eyes shone with surprise.
"How can you tell?"
I tilted my head to the other side, "Your surname and accent. Are your kids here? In the festival?"
Nod, "Yes. They are walking around with my husband." Then she have Henrihk his cake and juice and went to get mine. "We watched your match together. They all loved it, it was refreshing to see your seriousness for the match, for a change. And the fact that you also seemed to be happy fighting like that. Really a sight to see. Usually we only see that on your mate's matches," she pointed to Oliver behind me. "I think that's why we all thriving to watch the final match tomorrow. The change of teammates was very interesting too."
"Her fault," Oliver growled pointing at me.
That made me chuckle, "I stole his teammates."
"Oh, my, I like you even better now, Hel!" She giggled and gave me my slice of cake and my juice. "We were in the opening ceremony too, seeing you in your true form for the first time was amazing. You had quite the grand entrance."
"She always does that," Rio and Dimitry growled.
"My father says it's good to leave a strong first impression," I took a sip from the juice. Damn, the juice is good.
{"Better than mine?"}
Jealous much? Yours is better, idiot. Regardless, the juice is good.
