Diana was already fuming when she heard Ray's dismissive remarks. She wanted to shout at him, a reaction that would have been uncharacteristic given her usually restrained demeanor. This was the first time anyone dared to confront her like that, except for Esme. Even her father had never spoken to her in such a manner. But Diana knew that if she let her anger take over, it would ruin everything. So, she took a deep breath, forced a smile, and tried to diffuse the situation.
"Mr. Ray, please listen to us. We've been misled by the waiters. Please," she said, her voice strained.
Ray, with a mocking grin, replied, "Oh? So the esteemed hires of the Valhalla group were misled by a mere waiter? I don't even know what to say."
Diana clenched her fists so tightly that her fingernails dug into her palms. With a tight smile, she responded, "Please calm down. We'll make it right."
