Panic surged in Jenny and the second aunt's husband. "Please, please, no!" they pleaded, their voices trembling as Aron stepped out of the room.
Once the door clicked shut behind him, Esme's demeanor changed, and her voice took on an edge of authority.
"The child is fine so . Shut up and stop trembling. If you don't, I don't know what I might do." The room fell into a heavy silence, their fear palpable as they instinctively fell quiet under her gaze.
