Ryan's calm gaze fixed on his brother. His voice was steady, but there was an underlying edge of caution. "Brother, maybe you've forgotten, but last time Esme attacked you, she wasn't even fully using her beast's power. And yet, you were taken down with ease."
Ray's face tightened at the memory, the sting of it still fresh.
Ryan continued, his tone softening but no less serious. "This time, it's not about fighting her beast. We don't need to overpower it. We need to calm it, to soothe its turmoil. That's a much more delicate task, and we can't afford to be reckless. It will take both of your beasts working in harmony to do that."
Helga absorbed the weight of Ryan's words. The situation was more dangerous than she had initially thought, but backing down wasn't an option. She nodded, her expression firm, meeting the brothers' eyes.
"I understand. I'll do whatever it takes," she said, her voice resolute, as the tension in the room seemed to deepen.
