[SKYLINE PLAZA: ZOREN's]
Penny sucked on her inner cheeks, narrowing her eyes at the ceiling. Another long hum escaped her closed lips, and her mind was filled with the image of Zoren slamming the door. She sat up abruptly when she couldn't take it anymore.
"Did he hear me or not?" she asked herself for the umpteenth time. "Or did he mishear me? Is that why he was angry?"
Penny should be resting, but how could she rest when her husband had just slammed the door on her right after she told him she loved him? That wasn't a normal reaction.
"It's not like I would be angry if he didn't say anything back," she grumbled. "But why is he acting angry?"
She then fixed her sharp eyes on Renny and Chunchun. "Say, do you think your father heard what I said?"
Renny kept its head over its paws while Chunchun purred. They didn't move an inch, watching their mother ruffle her hair with both hands.
