Zoren was utterly speechless at the story he'd just heard from her lips — the same lips that kept wondering how they ended up married. Even though her face was slightly blurry, he could feel the certainty in her story.
"Let me clarify," he muttered. "I agreed to those conditions while high on drugs?"
She nodded. "Don't forget the cut I gave you while doing so," she reminded him as if that was supposed to be his proudest moment. "I saved your life, and look at you now! Better~! Aren't you lucky?"
'I'm legally blind,' was what he wanted to tell her, but it seemed she had forgotten about that. "And how did the marriage happen?"
