Finn chuckled at the thought. "Surprisingly, none of what I told her is fake."
"Oh?" A look of surprise washed over Jonathan's face, expecting Finn to deny everything. "I didn't expect you to be so honest, Finn. At least, I expected a pathetic denial."
"You know me just as much as I know you. There's no reason for me to deny it."
Slowly, Jonathan's subtle smile stretched into a devious one. "Even in this state, you impress me."
"Impressing you was never a goal. There's no one I'd like to impress other than Zoren Pierson, but sure."
"Haha." Jonathan's smile slightly faded, his eyes sharpening. "Finn Davis, I'm curious. Have you always… desired Nina, even when she was my wife?"
