After hearing what Belle was planning, Penny could say that Zoren was right. He might not have said much about Belle, but according to him, Belle wasn't a difficult person. However, she wasn't easy either. Belle knew how to bite back, and perhaps, if it weren't for the family she was building with her husband, she would've done so long ago.
"It's okay, Penny, you don't have to walk me out." Belle stopped in front of the door, facing Penny. "You've already done so much for me, even though we've known each other for less than twenty-four hours."
If Belle could ask, she would've asked Penny how she could be so kind to her when they were still strangers.
Penny smiled. "We haven't known each other for twenty-four hours? That's wild, because I feel like I've known you for a lifetime."
