The sound of glass shattering echoed in the room, liquid trickling down the wall, and then shards scattered on the floor. The strong scent of wine mixed in the still air, blending with the sounds of the television playing.
Jonathan paced back and forth in distress, running his hand through his hair.
"Goddamn it," he muttered, taking another look at the television. They were now showing a graph to explain how the stock market works. There wasn't even a single news about him and even if there were articles, they were just buried.
Jonathan stretched his neck from side to side, his face twisting. During the Pierson Corporation meeting earlier today, he didn't mind Atlas winning. After all, he was pleased with the thrill and was looking forward to seeing what Atlas could do to change the tragic fate of the family.
Besides, he still had a lot of tricks up his sleeve.
