Stephen held his hands together before his mouth, his expression stern and deep in thought. When his eyes fell on the documents before him, he shook his head.
"I don't think there's anything more that I haven't covered yet."
Perhaps this was the first time Stephen didn't think of anything else the entire day except work. In the past several days, he hadn't been able to function properly. Even if he tried, he would just end up worrying and drowning in anxiety.
But today, he didn't have such thoughts. Charles had called to give him a heads-up. It would be too embarrassing for Stephen to fall so easily once Atlas launched his first attack as part of the "revenge" scheme. Knowing Atlas, that man was the most vengeful person Stephen had met; he was worse than his father, Charles.
