"That third brother of mine…" Penny groaned as she massaged her nape, reaching out for the master bedroom door knob. She paused, stretching her neck until she heard it crack.
A satisfied hiss escaped her as she felt the tension in her neck release with that crack. "That's more like it," she mumbled, twisting the knob and pushing the door open.
As soon as Penny opened the door, her eyes fell on the person sitting up on the bed. Zoren had his back against the headboard, holding a tablet in his hand as if he were reading something. When he heard the door open, he slowly peeled his eyes from the dim, warm light of his screen to the person by the door.
A beautiful smile turned up on his face the moment he locked eyes with his wife. "You didn't kill him, did you?" His voice was soothing and calm. His smile was so charming it was melting her heart.
