"If you, of all people, are this clueless about him, then what at all have you two been discussing all this time that he has been spending with you?"
Hyeri moved away from the door and went and stood beside Hajoon, who was sitting at Doyun's study desk.
Hajoon was very surprised at her question. He turned to Youngmi, who was sitting on Doyun's bed, with a questioning look.
But she only shrugged and gave him a warning look to Hajoon—not give anything away for the girl to catch on to her brother's lies.
She too was very surprised at Hyeri's question, as that implied that their friend hadn't been sleeping at home since school break.
"Um...ah..uhm..." Hajoon stuttered. He wasn't that good when it came to making up lies.
"Aa... Heyyi, can I get some water to drink? Please? I'm a bit parched." Youngmi came to his aid.
"Oh sorry. I forgot. Let me go and bring you some water to drink." Hyeri excused herself to go to the kitchen.
