"Sure it does."
Leading the way into the living room, Avery could not help but sigh, preparing herself for the lies that were about to spill out of her mouth.
"Why can't everyone else just believe that this...what is she called? Avery person is dead and stop pestering me for a resemblance I can't even see? I can't just go ahead and scream an announcement 'I'm Ava Donovan and I've been married for three years so there's no way I'm that person you seek', can I?" she asked rhetorically.
"Of course, you can't. It's a good thing Mr James kept your work profile private and didn't release it to anyone or you'd probably have people throwing stones at the building by now. But trust me, it's slowly getting into their head that you are not the same person they loathe," Jodi reassured her. A reassurance Avery wasn't sure she needed.
"I hope so. How's your day going?" she asked, changing the topic of discussion almost immediately.
