Kathy, on the other hand, could not help but let out a sigh of relief when she saw the direction in which her children's thoughts went.
"Are you two stupid? Why would I attend confessions when I know that's equivalent to putting my new found position, which I worked hard for by the way, at risk? You think it's easy to annihilate a whole family just for the title of madam, and then go throw it away when I'm only just settling in the position?"
"Then why do you waste time going to church so much?" Roberts insisted, suspicion creasing his brows. "It was understandable when Grandpa and our cousins were still alive. At least, we know that was just a guise for them to think you are religious and contented with a simple lifestyle. It's different now, don't you think?"
