One of them had his eyes wide open while I flicked my lighter to set fire..." he trailed off, casting a brief glance up to enable her see the small smirk tugging at the side of his lips, "...to their gasoline soaked bodies," he concluded.
Though Avery felt a chill run through her spine at his words, she gave no outward reaction. Not that she restrained herself from doing so, but because she was truly numb right now. She felt absolutely nothing—but a special kind of thrill—as she imagined him doing what he just said. Maybe she should do this to Valentina? Or Roberts? Brian... absolutely! Kathy and Jon? Those two deserved much worse.
She snapped out of her thoughts to listen to Archie speaking.
