"Here, have a seat." Leona beckoned Sophia to sit on the sofa close to her.
Sophia hesitated, unsure who the lady was or why she brought her to her room.
"Don't be afraid, I don't bite."
She has a sense of humor at least, Sophia thought before sitting on the sofa. She took a closer look at Leona: high cheekbones, full lips, and honey eyes. She was gorgeous. "May I ask who you are, please?"
Leona chuckled, crossing her legs. "I'm Luca's aunt." She saw the worried look on Sophia's face and her smile deepened. "Calm down, I'm not your opposition."
"Why? You should hate me too."
"I don't hate you, Sophia. I mean, I did back then, but it's so long ago and I totally understand why you did it."
"But Luca doesn't," Sophia shook her head. "I don't blame him because I don't even know why I was so scared of my father."
"You don't remember, do you?"
Sophia's brow raised slightly.
"If you don't, then I think it's better that way."
