Worry etched his face, as Rafael didn't know what to do now. 'Is this it? The end? No, I refuse to give up.'
Rafael started considering his choices. He had two options now: using the card from Aurora or trying to call the demonic power again.
The first was out of the question since it meant he would leave Airine and Suiyin alone. The second was impossible to do since he needed to do some preparation first.
Rafael was stuck. His gaze then turned toward the dark mark. "The creature told me I should have known her location. This means this mark should be connected to her in some way."
With that thought, Rafael began to focus on the mark. He then called out her name in his mind, "Aiyana, I need your help."
The mark's glow intensified, creating a projection of Aiyana. She didn't address Rafael; instead, the projection grew in size until it reached Aiyana's real size.
