Chapter 72 - Heading to North Blue, Naval Headquarters Alerted

"Just order me, master," Stussy replied.

'Scarlett and Kyros shouldn't be married yet, according to what I remember. Kyros saves Scarlett from a kidnapping incident this year, and then they will marry in a year or two. I don't have my own personal information channel yet. Let's make Shakky my informant after I come back from meeting Doflamingo.'

Lakeman thought and ordered Stussy to go to Dressrosa after he left for North Blue, kill the guard captain of the royal army, Kyros, and leave some guards to protect Princess Scarlett and Viola, ensuring they don't come in contact with men.

"Go to Dressrosa personally, as Kyros is a bit powerful for normal guards to deal with. You can come back to Sabaody to manage the auction house after killing him," Lakeman ordered with a strict expression.

"Yes, master," Stussy replied, trembling slightly as she realized she had been planning to just send a few guards to deal with it.

'Thank God, Saint Lakeman reminded me. If I failed this task, then all the hard work and sacrifices I've made to get close to Saint Lakeman would be in vain.' She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Let's enjoy now," Lakeman said as he put his hands under her top and started pinching her sweet melons, kissing her neck.

Lily joined in the fun after a while.

North Blue.

Doflamingo laughed loudly and said with relish, "He is just like me, a guy who ignores rules, tramples on laws, and despises all rules. Hahaha, it's so interesting! There is actually a person who looks like me in this world."

The Heavenly Yaksha laughed.

Celestial Dragon Hotel.

Lakeman invited Kizaru for a late-night snack.

At the dinner table, Lakeman casually mentioned that he was planning to go to North Blue to meet the expelled Celestial Dragon, Doflamingo.

"Ah?" Kizaru's expression stiffened, and he looked at Lakeman calmly, as if asking, "Are you serious?"

'That is Heavenly Yaksha who burns, kills, loots, and commits all kinds of evil!'

The Marine stared at him for a long moment. Vice Admiral Tsuru had chased him many times, but he always escaped. There have been clues that Doflamingo is planning a big conspiracy.

"What do you think?" Lakeman asked Kizaru with interest.

'I think it would be better if the world were to be destroyed tomorrow,' Kizaru felt a little numb.

'There is a World Government behind Saint Lakeman, and he must have a special mission when he comes into contact with Heavenly Yaksha. First me, then Rayleigh, then Doflamingo. What does the World Government want to do?'

Kizaru's mind was in turmoil, and he said with a heavy heart, "Saint Lakeman, this is not part of my escort mission."

He tried to resist. His task was to escort Lakeman to and from Sabaody Archipelago and Mariejois. Apart from that, there was nothing else.

"It seems that the Vice Admiral is not interested, which is really a pity," Lakeman shook his head and replied regretfully, "I can only go by myself."

Kizaru's eyes couldn't help but tremble. 'No, why don't you play your cards according to the routine? I just hesitated a little, and you didn't hold me back at all and just threw me away?'

"Well, according to the regulations of the World Government, Celestial Dragons must be escorted by a Vice Admiral when traveling..."

Kizaru was tired and said helplessly, "Saint Lakeman, it is not appropriate for you to go to see Doflamingo alone. Can I ask the headquarters for instructions?"

"Okay, you can give me an answer tomorrow," Lakeman said casually.

Puff.

Kizaru almost spat out a mouthful of soup. 'Tomorrow?' He looked at the sky speechlessly, his eyes becoming weak.

'Three days of discussion on such an important matter is not enough, but I am expected to give a reply tomorrow... Isn't it necessary for me to come up with the answer in one night? I have to work overtime again tonight, I really want to die...'

Kizaru looked up at the sky at a 45-degree angle, feeling that his eyes were a little moist.

After Dinner

Kizaru returned to his residence and dialed Sengoku's phone heavily.

Duuludulu—

After a busy tone, the call was connected.

"Kizaru?" Sengoku's voice came out. "It's so late, is there another emergency?"

Marineford

Sengoku took the phone and glanced at the alarm clock. 12:58 AM. Very good, it is a very delicate time point. Sengoku had just entered the deep sleep stage from the latent sleep stage.

As a result, he was suddenly woken up by Kizaru's phone call.

'My sleep quality has plummeted since Kizaru went on the escort mission!' Sengoku complained in his heart and sat up from the bed angrily. 'I haven't had a good night's sleep in a few days!'

But Sengoku also understood that if there was no emergency, Kizaru would not disturb his rest. Therefore, he could only suppress his emotions and put on his glasses calmly. He got into working mode instantly.

"The Lakeman Saint told me that he is going to North Blue to meet Doflamingo," Kizaru said quietly. He felt the displeasure in Sengoku's tone, but Sengoku wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep well.

Kizaru also said that since he performed the escort mission, his mood every day had been like a roller coaster, with ups and downs, one after another. He often suffered from insomnia for half the night. Even his favorite afternoon nap was no longer stable.

"Doflamingo?" Sengoku couldn't help but exclaim when he heard the name. He lost all sleep in an instant, and his expression became serious.

'First Kizaru, then Rayleigh, now Doflamingo? What is the World Government going to do? Should they be planning to readmit Doflamingo?'

Various thoughts surged through Sengoku's mind. He had always targeted Doflamingo as a key target and had placed an important undercover agent into the Donquixote family. If the World Government had other ideas, his plan might be aborted.

'Weird, so weird... What are the Five Elders thinking? What is the truth about the blank hundred years?'

Sengoku's eyes flickered, and he was deep in thought. Although he was already a marshal, commanding the entire Marine, his influence spread all over the world and the first half of the Grand Line. But the secrets of the World Government were still unclear.

When Roger traveled around the world and obtained all the truth, his reaction was also very strange. He went to his death calmly and then started the era of great pirates. That kind of approach seemed to place hope in the future.

'Could it be that there will be big changes in the world in the future?' Sengoku walked to the window, looked at the slowly undulating sea outside, and thought solemnly. These thoughts and reflections only happened in a moment.

"Marshal, I shied away from the escort mission and did not go to North Blue. I need to ask the headquarters for instructions. Lakeman Saint agreed, but he asked me to give an answer tomorrow," Kizaru's voice came from the receiver.

"Tomorrow?" Sengoku was shocked again. "Are you in a hurry?"

"Yes, he seems to be eager to meet Doflamingo," Kizaru said.

Sengoku rubbed his brows tiredly and let out a long breath. He said, "Don't hang up the phone yet, I'll go find Tsuru."

"Yes," Kizaru replied.

Marineford

Tsuru was originally sleeping and having a good rest.

-Thump thump!-

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. She woke up suddenly and sat up, asking, "What's the matter?"

"Vice Admiral, the marshal wants you to go to the office. There is an emergency meeting," a girl's voice sounded outside the door. It was Tsuru's bodyguard.

When you reach the general level, you are surrounded by guards, secretaries, messengers, etc.

"I know," Tsuru said with a solemn expression and quickly changed her clothes.

Three minutes later, she showed up at Sengoku's office. The lights in the office were brightly lit, like daylight.

"There's an emergency over there with Kizaru," Sengoku poured a cup of hot coffee for Tsuru, sat across from her, and said solemnly, "Saint Lakeman is going to see Doflamingo!"

"What!?" Tsuru was so shocked that she almost lost her grip on the cup.

She thought for a moment, her eyes suddenly widened, and she said in surprise, "First Kizaru, then Rayleigh, and now Doflamingo. What is the World Government planning to do?"

Tsuru had the same doubts as Sengoku and Kizaru.

"This is also what worries me," Sengoku also poured himself a cup of coffee and said slowly, "Doflamingo has been removed from Mariejois. The Celestial Dragons group hates him. It is impossible for the World Government to re-accept him, but it has contacted him again... I can't figure out why."

Hearing this, Tsuru fell into deep thought. Until now, they still believed that Lakeman went to sea with the mission of the Five Elders. Every move, word, and deed carried a profound meaning. And from their perspective, it was true that everyone Lakeman came into contact with was a heavyweight!

"If I remember correctly, you also buried a mole in the Donquixote family, right?" Tsuru asked with sharp eyes.

"That's right," Sengoku smiled bitterly, "And it's a very crucial mole."

As for the identity of the mole, only Sengoku himself knew. So no one could guess that the mole was actually Doflamingo's biological brother, Rosinante!

"This is troublesome," Tsuru frowned and said.

Secret Communication Room

Sengoku walked into a dimly lit room, closed the door behind him, and approached a secure Den Den Mushi. The snail's eyes opened, and it connected to a secret line.

"Corazon, it's Sengoku. We have an urgent situation."

On the other end of the line, Rosinante's calm voice replied, "What is it, Sengoku-san?"

"Saint Lakeman plans to visit Doflamingo in North Blue soon. We need to understand what Doflamingo is planning and if there are any changes we should be aware of," Sengoku said, his voice low and serious.

Rosinante's heart skipped a beat, but he kept his composure. "This is unexpected. Doflamingo has been preparing something big, but he's been very secretive about it. I haven't been able to gather all the details yet."

"Any information you can provide will be critical. The Five Elders' involvement suggests something significant is at play. We can't afford to be caught off guard," Sengoku urged.

Rosinante took a deep breath. "I'll do my best to find out more. But you know how dangerous this is. If Doflamingo suspects anything, my cover will be blown."

"I understand the risks, Corazon. But the potential threat is too great. We need to be prepared for anything," Sengoku emphasized.

There was a brief silence before Rosinante responded, "I'll get the information. Just be ready to act quickly if things go south."

"We will be. And Corazon, stay safe. We can't lose you," Sengoku said, a rare note of personal concern in his voice.

"I'll be careful, Sengoku-san. I'll contact you as soon as I have more information," Rosinante assured him before the line went dead.

Back in Sengoku's Office

The night was long, and the weight of the impending meeting with Doflamingo loomed large over the Marine leaders.

"Sengoku, any updates from your contact?" Tsuru asked as Sengoku returned.

"Rosinante will gather what he can. But we're treading on dangerous ground. We need to be prepared for the worst," Sengoku replied, his expression grim.

Tsuru nodded, her eyes reflecting the same concern. "We'll have to be vigilant. If Doflamingo and Lakeman join forces, it could spell disaster for many."

The two discussed it for a long time. In the end, Sengoku settled on a plan full of choices.

Buster Call!

"Kizaru, I give you the authority to judge on the spot. If the worst outcome we guessed really happens, launch a Buster Call!" Sengoku said in a deep voice.

The Marine Marshal also has the authority to make this call. The supreme power for mass destruction and annihilation!

"...Okay, I'll take the order!" Kizaru also knew the seriousness of the matter and agreed with a serious expression.

So, Kizaru returned to the hotel, found Lakeman, and said that the headquarters had agreed to his request.

"Saint Lakeman, we will set sail for North Blue in three days," Kizaru explained.

"Okay, no problem."

As for the fact that he had a Buster Call order, Kizaru didn't mention it.

Lakeman was too lazy to go deeper and happily agreed. Kizaru felt extremely uneasy and took this temporary mission. He found that he really couldn't understand Lakeman's thoughts.
