Chapter 41 - Kizaru Bows His Head and Teaches Life Return

"I'm sorry, it's because I'm not good at learning and don't have many skills and much knowledge," Kizaru bowed slightly, apologizing to Lakeman.

This apology left everyone present in shock.

An Admiral candidate actually apologizing? Despite the noble status of the Celestial Dragons, a Vice Admiral of the Naval Headquarters can usually maintain a respectful distance, and an Admiral candidate like Kizaru can largely ignore their demands. This partial immunity from the privileges of the Celestial Dragons allows them some autonomy.

Yet, Kizaru's proactive apology was unexpected, making everyone look at Lakeman with awe.

Saint Lakeman could make an Admiral candidate bow his head!

"Haha, you're not good at studying?" Lakeman chuckled. "Not necessarily. How do I feel that you are a master of all six styles?"

Kizaru felt a jolt. Few people knew about his mastery of the Six Styles, even Mr. Zephyr from the training camp. Most saw him as a lucky guy with sparse Haki, average physical skills, and reliant solely on his Sparkling Fruit. The truth, however, was that his position was earned through genuine skill, recognized by Akainu and Aokiji.

"Saint Lakeman, you are truly perceptive." Kizaru exhaled. Since his disguise had been seen through, he changed his plan instantly. Teaching only Shave and Finger Pistol might dissatisfy Lakeman and lose the opportunity to teach the Boa sisters, failing his mission.

Kizaru looked serious and said, "I will teach them the complete Six Styles."

This declaration again surprised the onlookers. The complete Six Styles? Did Lakeman know Kizaru had mastered them all along? The butler looked at Lakeman in surprise, and the Boa sisters were equally astonished.

Hancock's beautiful eyes shone with shock and curiosity. How could Lakeman allow an Admiral candidate to impart such valuable knowledge to her and her sisters? Her heart was in turmoil, filled with mixed emotions. If another had been so kind, she might have admired him deeply. But with Lakeman as her master, there could be no equal relationship, and thus no genuine affection.

Hancock clenched her fists, nails digging into her flesh. She misunderstood Lakeman's intentions, but his motives were self-serving. Kizaru's careful teaching would improve Hancock's strength, benefiting Lakeman through feedback and personal gain.

"Just the complete Six Styles is not enough, Vice Admiral," Lakeman said meaningfully. "I hope you teach them Life Return. Don't tell me that you don't understand it." With that, he turned and left.

Kizaru felt as if struck by lightning, his body petrified. His pupils shrank as he looked at Lakeman in horror. How did Lakeman know he had mastered Life Return? It was a secret even his teacher Zephyr and the Marshal didn't know.

Every time he used it, he killed all witnesses. Lakeman's knowledge of this skill was unnerving, making Kizaru feel exposed and vulnerable.

Kizaru stood motionless until Lakeman's figure disappeared. He then took a deep breath, turned to the Boa sisters, and smiled. "Continue practicing."

"...Yes," the sisters hesitated before nodding.

Kizaru no longer hid anything, imparting all his knowledge of the Six Styles and teaching the sisters how to use them to understand Life Return.

Meanwhile, Lakeman returned to his room, satisfied with the feedback's continuous improvement. He didn't care about Kizaru's intentions, as long as the training was effective. His focus shifted to the upcoming auction.

Scanning the roster, Lakeman noted the diverse offerings: a princess from a certain country, a generational jewel, a rare electric mouse, a low-altitude flying cloud, a sharp knife, fish light, a Zoan Devil Fruit, and a pirate slave. The goods were much richer than those in the Holy Land.

"Oh, do you even have wood from Adam's tree?" Lakeman was amazed.

But these weren't his main interests. Instead, he focused on a strawberry blond-haired middle-aged man labeled as a shipwright among the human slaves.

Silvers Rayleigh!

The Pirate King's deputy!
