Broken had already discussed the upcoming meeting with Marlene with Elincia, Goldrich, and Maylock. He had also revealed to them his possession of a demon egg, obtained after completing the Trial Domain alongside Princess Alora.
"I agree with Freya; you should try incubating the egg in the Demon's world," Maylock remarked thoughtfully.
He continued, "Regarding Marlene, she mentioned she'd take you there for a demon beast, but I think you should focus on the demon egg instead. It's the only chance you've got, Broken."
Broken nodded slowly, letting everyone share their thoughts on the matter.
"What about Marlene herself, Maylock?" Elincia expressed her concern.
Maylock shook his head. "I'm convinced that Marlene has too much pride to willingly lower herself to anyone. Instead, she'll do whatever it takes to keep people worshiping her and following her whims."
"That girl needs a little scolding, khi khi khi," Goldrich chuckled.
