Cedric and Cecilia were perched at the summit of a lofty hill, surveying the hordes of monsters that swarmed below. Beside them stood Sir Morel, the Knight Commander of their Fae Tribe.
"Sir Morel," Cedric said firmly, "Why don't you stop those monsters? You know that the person we're talking about isn't with them, right? There are humans among them, Yunateans, and they can die! Shouldn't we avoid intentionally attacking other races? You need to stop this! Wait until the person we're really interested in arrives."
Morel smiled slyly, crossing his arms. "This is all part of the test, Cedric. You don't understand what I'm doing. If he can't even protect his own friends, then how can he be the one to save our tribe?"
"No, I don't understand!" Cedric retorted. "But what I do know is that you've made Cecilia feel guilty for what you're doing, and you need to stop this! Those humans are in danger! We shouldn't be treating them like this—we need their help."
