Valerie stared at Max with stern eyes. Why? Just why didn't he tell her that it was already past noon?
She stared at her phone. It was exactly 3 pm. She had been asleep for so long yet he didn't even bother to inform her about it.
"There was honestly no need," Max said. Her thoughts were practically written all over her face. "If I had told you that you were asleep till this late, would you have rushed out of the bed and gone to greet everyone?"
Valerie clicked her tongue and looked away. She guessed it didn't matter. She just felt it would've been better if he told her.
Wait, was that why he covered her up with the blanket? Was he worried that she would spring out of the bed to greet his assistant good morning when it was already afternoon?
"Absolutely not." Max responded.
"Hm?"
"It's because you're completely naked, Valerie."
"I'm putting on a shirt though." She said, but he didn't consider that as being dressed.
