Valerie sat quietly on the bed while Max stared at her with a certain smirk on his lips. He didn't know what happened while he was asleep but he liked the result.
Valerie asked for a kiss. He couldn't believe it.
He was still on cloud nine when Valerie said,
"It doesn't seem like you're sick at all." He froze. Did she catch on?
"What do you mean? I couldn't stay in class because my belly ached so I came to the infirmary to rest." He said but she still kept her head down. "How would you be able to tell anyway? Did you look through my records?"
"Your mouth," she said, "There was no single strange taste. No lingering taste of pills taken. You're either lying or you didn't take medication for your 'stomach ache'."
Once again, Max froze. To think she'd use that method to observe. He darted his eyes aside. He didn't expect them to kiss out of the blue and such an intense kiss too.
