Emily turned toward the younger female, expecting her to comment, but Rika said nothing.
She just looked a little lost as she took in everything around her.
Her expression looked adorable, making Emily want to tug her close and not let go. But she knew her sudden actions could startle Rika, so she did not touch or make her feel awkward.
But just because 'she' did not do it does not mean Damian would also get the message. He had been relatively close to her all this time.
He said his 'instincts' told him to stay with Rika and comfort her. Emily had no idea what he was trying to pull here, but she did not complain.
This was supposed to be a calm trip back, but then Emily saw the last people she wanted to see here - Natasha Goodwill and Mark Goodwill.
