"Why are they not back yet? Just what happened? Fuck! I am so worried about Fey and Charon! Just where are they?"
Flourite repeated the exact words for the fourth time in fifteen minutes. The lack of sleep was getting to him, but he refused to give up and go to sleep. He was going to wait for the pair to return.
That was what he had said five hours ago. It was early morning now, and Flourite was still awake.
Sleeping felt like a waste of time, even if he could not achieve anything by being aware.
"I know you are worried about your sister and Charon, Flourite. But you should go to sleep for now. Your tired self will be of no help to them."
The landlady spoke softly, and she placed a hand on Fluorite's shoulder to calm him down.
But as soon as she touched Flourite, he flung her hand away and looked back with an angry expression on his face.
