Chapter 7 - HATE TRIANGLE

"If not you then me, I'll make sure to kill her. She has done everything she shouldn't have done. She has already planned to destroy and shatter me. Her lover seems to be obsessed with her that he went this far!" Ken screamed out of anger while Lucy was at the door, eavesdropping each word.

Ash was standing there with a paper in his hand which he crushed as they talked.

" It seems to be a tense topic. I don't need to worry about anything afterall, it's his loss or win but I really wish she, whoever she is, succeeds in shattering this man. Only then can my grudges be completely silenced." She whispered to herself. She stood at the door to hear something more about "her".

"She isn't just trying to shatter you, it's just that she is frustrated, may be because of what you said and did to her yesterday." Ash prompted.

"The details match to me but he isn't my lover, he is just my bestfriend! And he better not have done anything!" Lucy thought.

" Do I need to be polite to them? They are just another worms of this sewer! Now their proffesional and personal life will be disrupted for sure, it may take time but it will happen!" Ken answered.

Knocking the door, she looked at Ken to seek attention.

"What?" He enquired.

"Won't you tell me what my work is?"

" Just sit at some place quitely that's it."

" If it was going to be like this why did you you even..." Ken stood up and closed the door on her face.

" Did he really just do this? Such a rude man!"

Ash asked," Why would you do that?"

Ken just glared at him with no answer.

" Do you think she would have heard everything? If she has, she can be a traitor afterall." Ash said worried.

" I don't think so. Even if she did, she isn't naive enough!"

" Hmm... But do you really have any trust on what you're saying?"

" Of course! Have I ever said something I didn't mean?"

Ash stared at him to tease." Haven't you?"

They both laughed but it didn't look to be a the truth-their happiness, their laugh, everything!

Lucy on the other hand was curious about what had happened but at the same time she had to find a place to sit. If either of them- Ken or Ash found that she overheard them, she would be in big trouble. She looked on the sides and remembered about the library. She was already curious about the diary that had been kept there and also the vast collection of books stretching all around. Afterall it was the only place where she could be in silence and privacy. Their were no bodyguards around the room as other rooms had.

She stepped towards the library only to find that all the lights were turned off. No signs for the switchboard. With clear disgust, she stood outside of the library.

The sound of some footsteps grew immensely. It could be some bodyguard or some staff but it seemed to suspicious. The footsteps were unsuccessfully made such that no one could hear them. They were taken slowly but their voices were roaring. This sound made Lucy really uncomfortable, wanting her to get inside the library. She opened the door and got into the library. Dur to the darkness, nothing could be seen. She was tensed by the roaring footsteps and the dark at the same time. It was like she was given a choice either to be killed or handicapped. As of human psychology, anyone would've choosed to be handicapped. So does she! She chosses to get back of something and hide until the person is gone.

The footsteps gradually started to slow off and then quiet. The person wasn't talking that meant that he was alone. Lucy thought that he must've left so she came out of the spot but she soon saw the door moving. This alerted her enough that she went back to the hiding spot. The door was wide open. The face of the man couldn't be seen but due to his posture he looked like an old man. Slightly slouched posture and a stick in his hand made her believe about his identity. It was the same person who had stopped her to visit the library the last time, Uncle Joseph!
