Fang Yuan leaped from point to point with successive jumps. The pitch-black darkness that seeped from the depths of the night suffocated the stars. Fang Yuan clung to the cylindrical peak and looked around. Wandering clouds swirled around a point above the heart of the mountain. He turned towards where he had felt the Yang energy. His voice echoed among the peaks. It sounded more like thousands of people wailing and cursing than a single voice.
"I must hurry…"
Then he jumped to a great height and moved in another direction.
The heavenly calamity was about to begin. Fang Yuan landed on an uneven surface and gathered all his strength in his legs. The ground beneath him couldn't withstand the pressure and shattered. Fang Yuan lost his balance. He tried to steady himself, but it was too late.
He fell a great distance and landed on a large rock with his back. The rock broke, and Fang Yuan, along with small and large stones, fell to the bottom of the valley.
He landed with a loud thud. By then, he had reached the riverbank. One of his arms swung back and forth like a pendulum.
But he felt no pain.
His breath came in gasps. He held his side and limped along his path. The severe blow had punctured his rib. Fang Yuan looked at his hand. The damage was worse than he had expected.
A little later, he found himself in front of a large cave with a wooden wall covering its entrance.
At that moment, knowing he didn't have much time left, he decided to avoid any time-consuming actions as much as possible.
Using the boulders in front of the cave, he created a massive hole in the wall. Several bandits were crushed under the weight of the boulder right at the entrance.
Fang Yuan leaped towards a group of bandits, simultaneously lifting three of them and devouring their heads.
He threw the bodies towards the others and immediately crushed another one with a jump.
A bandit who attacked him from behind raised his sword with all his might, but the blade broke, and he fell to the ground from the force of the kick.
Fang Yuan turned towards him. With a disgusting smile, he crushed his lower body. The pressure caused his eyes to pop out, and he vomited blood.
Fang Yuan laughed loudly.
The hideout was burning, and a cloud of tear-inducing smoke hung under the cave's ceiling.
Like someone who had stuck their hand in a beehive, Fang Yuan dragged all the bandits out of the cave's labyrinth and waited for them at the cave entrance. By then, his body had healed. The healing speed of zombies was astonishingly fast, and this was true for Fang Yuan as well, especially now that he was a complete zombie. The cave walls turned red, and countless corpses were scattered here and there. Fang Yuan suppressed his death aura and took on a human appearance again. Although this human appearance caused him to lose the power of the six-armed zombie.
"Now that the death aura is suppressed, I must leave this mountain."
Fang Yuan said this and headed towards the bandits' storerooms.
He needed to gain some spoils from this battle. Fang Yuan needed clothes, money, and other things. If he found any spiritual herbs, he could give some energy to the Gu stones to prevent the imprisoned Gu from dying.
"Not much interesting stuff here; still, I think I can manage in human territory with these."
Fang Yuan transferred a few second-grade swords, some clothes, low-grade medicinal herbs, and several other items to his eternal aperture.
"I must be as careful as possible… anything might come in handy, my eternal aperture is twice as big as this cave… it seems that due to using the zombie power, the will and level upgrades I had during the petrification period, my eternal aperture has deepened."
Fang Yuan searched a bit more but found nothing of particular interest.
"Unfortunately, using Gu is impractical for me. Although I can use Gu, I have to consume true will thoughts, and that's not something I want to gamble on right now."
True will thoughts were the primary thoughts that formed a will. These thoughts were very profound and deep. The more true will thoughts a will had, the higher its level was considered. Cultivating these thoughts required a lot of time and resources.
Fang Yuan left the storeroom. He wandered around a bit. Suddenly, a hatch that led downwards caught his attention.
"A dungeon…?!"
A dark corridor lay before him, the smell of burning tearing at his nasal passages. In that dry and suffocating air, no one could survive. Fang Yuan wasn't looking for survivors either. He wanted to gather whatever he could to survive the heavenly calamity.
However, his efforts were in vain, and nothing was hidden in the dungeon.
He was about to leave when a half-dead hand grabbed his leg.
Fang Yuan looked down.
A half-dead voice said, "P…please… s…save me…"
Fang Yuan wasn't an angel. Saving that person's life wouldn't benefit him. However, after some thought, he squeezed the hand and said, "I'm glad someone is still alive, really glad…"
Tears streamed from his eyes.
The person smiled desperately and fainted.
Fang Yuan picked him up and placed him in his eternal aperture.
He was about to leave when a terrifying sound penetrated his very being.
"The heavenly calamity… has descended…" Fang Yuan hurried out of the corridor. The ground shook, and the roaring sound didn't stop for a moment. The cave ceiling collapsed, and as the cave entrance became less visible, Fang Yuan did his best to dodge the falling rocks and simultaneously reach the cave entrance.
He was one step away when the cave entrance exploded, and a giant hand struck him. He bore a tremendous weight. The ground beneath him cracked. It shook terribly, and although the giant hand clearly wasn't exerting pressure, Fang Yuan couldn't bear its weight.
He screamed, his face turned pale. The death aura surged, and a wave of darkness seeped from his skin.
His teeth turned black, and dark blood flowed from his eyes, mouth, and nose.
He fell to his knees, hearing the sound of his bones cracking.
Suddenly, a lightning bolt from the sky struck the stone hand, and the pressure on Fang Yuan was lifted.
With black eyes, he stared at the mountain peak opposite him.
The stone titan, larger than the peak itself, screamed in pain.
The heavenly calamity that was supposed to destroy Fang Yuan had struck the titan's hand. Dark steam rose from the back of the giant hand, and its screams paralyzed everyone.
Fang Yuan couldn't win, and if he didn't think of something, he would undoubtedly be destroyed.
The titan roared and struck the mountain slope with its fist.
Fang Yuan leaped back into the cave.
The mountain slope slid, and the cave entrance was sealed. However, the titan's screams could still be heard.
Everything was dark, but Fang Yuan's eyes could see everywhere.
His entire body was crushed.
"Damn it… I won't survive like this!!!"
Fang Yuan cursed and searched for a solution.
However, he didn't know how to destroy the titan.
"Using Gu is dangerous… not only are the Gu in bad condition, but I also have to use will thoughts…"
Suddenly the entire cave shook.
Fang Yuan staggered. He didn't have much time.
"I can't rely on the six-armed zombie. My body is completely crushed, and if I don't find Yang energy in time, I'll remain a six-armed zombie forever."
As he was considering various scenarios, the cave ceiling disappeared. A lot of dust rose, and a faint light shone into the cave.
A deafening voice said, "You're here…"
Fang Yuan was taken aback.
The sky was starless, but when he realized what he saw wasn't the sky, he received a heavy blow.
The cave floor opened up, and Fang Yuan fell into the depths of a dark underground chasm.
The last sound he heard was the titan's roar saying, "You too… were unworthy…"
