Andrew looked up at the sky above his head. The snow was drifting down and up to wherever it liked. They had been driving for nine days. If he had ridden without a break, he would have reached the capital yesterday.
However, one of the horses belonging to the knight who rode with him fell. They had to stop at one of the villages and then find a horse that was used to traveling. And he could no longer spur them on like he wanted. Just a little more and Andrew would see the wall that protected the capital.
The people's fields that looked green yesterday were now completely white. Closer to the capital the neighborhoods became denser and Andrew could see children running around in thick clothes with snowballs in their hands.
