Chapter 33 - Conflicting Conflict

● Graviton

Exact Location: New Grey City

Three warships known to carry over a thousand soldiers landed a few meters away from the city border, drawing the attention of the border Police.

"Today cannot get any more weirder," the Commander of the border guards said while stepping out of a vehicle that just arrived from the city. "What the hell is happening?"

"Unclear sir, the ships just landed about ten minutes ago and haven't done anything," one of the guards revealed. "They are not even connecting our message transmission."

The commander slipped his hands into his pocket and sucked his teeth. "Did we receive any message from the General?"

"Negative, Sir. The general is currently at Hydrospace attending a relative's funeral," he replied.

The commander narrowed his eyes and groaned. He picked up his hat and slipped it over his head before turning to address the guards.

"Rahim, you're with me," he started. "The rest of you should stay put and ready for whatever is to happen… alert the General and the CHGA if something does happen. And make sure every military personnel is ready for what may happen."

*CHGA - Congress of Humans and Grey Landers Affair*

He sighed and pulled out his gun to check if it was loaded before looking up at his men. "We are humans alright, and this is solely human territory, three warships docking here is anything but normal, I doubt this is a visit… what am I saying." He turned to face the spaceship.

"They must plan to eliminate us thoroughly this time... Let's go."

The commander and his second slowly approached the warships. Their chest pounding up and down though they held a brave expression on their face.

Just as they were a few steps away from the first ship, its door opened, and the gray-haired man, Leo Silas stepped out with a cigarette in his mouth and a mischievous grin lingering on his face.

"This humans must think we came here to talk, he's not even armed," Leo said to the man behind him in the Grey language.

"Excuse me, mister," the commander started. "This whole area is human territory… bringing warships here might be misinterpreted."

Leo furrowed. "What the fuck is he saying?"

"No idea."

The gray-haired man tossed the cigarette on the ground and turned to the man behind him. "Let's begin."

The man whispered into a device he was holding and the other two warships opened, giving way for numerous armed men who walked out.

Seeing this, the commander immediately pulled out his gun and unhesitatingly shot at Leo, but the gray-haired Grey Lander was quick to react. He moved his head just in time to only get a scratch on his cheek by the bullet. He pulled out his dagger and bolted towards the commander, ending his life with a single swing of his hand.

The man that was behind Leo pulled out his gun and planted three holes in the commander's second's head before he could move an inch.

Leo Silas wiped the blood on his face and turned to the armed men. "No mercy."

The men pulled down a gasmask over their faces before racing towards the city. Leo took a deep breath and returned his dagger to its scabbard. "It would have felt better if this was done by my hands," he said while thinking back to his conversation with Astrid before his arrival.

Leo Silas and the dark-haired man, Astrid stood on a balcony, watching as the latter's 'Holy fighters' and Silas' 'True believers' got acquainted while preparing the vehicles and weapons.

"This moment marks the beginning of a new era." Ajax turned to face Leo. "Together, we shall save this planet from the threats and bring forth the grey paradise."

The gray-haired man nodded almost nonchalantly. "Right… you still haven't told me the full plan."

Astrid exhaled deeply and leaned on the railings. "Do you know the New Grey City?"

Leo hissed and leaned on the railings. "How could I not?" He said. "The Star Lord gave that city to the humans and allowed them to have their own constitution and government, it's hell inside hell."

The dark-haired man laughed. "Hell inside hell, hmm." He paused for a moment before speaking. "Well, where better to start our journey than a place hoarding the most humans?"

"You plan to directly attack the human's base?"

He nodded. "It's the Gravity Fall month and everyone is distracted: the Star Lord is hosting in his villa which means the Heavenly Protectors will be busy guarding the villa…" he paused. "No one to help those pests when they call for help, even their little fucked up Congress of affairs won't be able to."

"And after that?" The gray-haired man asked.

"After that? We turn our attention to the villa and every temple of this planet. They either start following our ways, or we make them."

Leo smiled and tapped Astrid's shoulder. "You're an old man with a big brain Ajax."

They both laughed.

"One more thing…" Astrid turned to look at Leo.

"Where did you get all this equipment from?" Leo Silas asked.

The dark-haired man held Leo's stare for a long while before replying. "From a friend… Nancy Cooperation."

Leo took out his mobile device and moved it to his ear. "Everything worked out according to plan." He smiled.

The teal green-eyed boy threw a left hook at Kieran who easily dodged. The latter grabbed the former's trusted hand and hurled him to the ground for the fifteenth time since they started.

"You're still not focusing," the silver-haired man said while pacing around the boy. "Get up."

"Can I take five minutes rest?" Liam questioned.

Kieran sighed and curbed next to his son. "There's no time for rest. Time is moving fast and in a matter of days you will have to walk the path alone, without me or your mother."

"What exactly am I?"

Kieran smiled. "In time I will explain everything… for now, just remember that you are my son."

Exact Location: The Sweepers Organization.

Liam hurried into the meeting room where he met Thomas and a few other Sweepers already.

"Hey, Tom, what's the emergency?" He questioned.

The brown-haired man shrugged. "Have no idea, we all just got here," replied.

The door to the meeting room opened and two high-ranking Sweepers Liam was only acquainted to enter the room. They both climbed a higher platform and one of them raised his hand to quiet the crowd.

"I know you only just got back from the Full-dive Operation and you're exhausted, probably terrified," he started. "But the Sweepers that weren't in the Full-dive operation are currently filling the Inner Core with Luminaire sticks and you lot are the only ones available."

He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Daniel Anderson and Nyx Jericho, two very important individuals of this agency were at Graviton in JERICHO when the building got attacked by a terrorist group"

"The group placed an EMP bomb that shut down every electricity and internet access. We only managed to get the request call through our offline server, so communication when you're in the building will be impossible."

"The number and how armed these men are is unknown, so we are basically walking blindly into the lion's den… your mission is to join the local security force to rescue the building." The man paused and pulled out a paper from his pocket. "The one who is to lead this operation is…" he stopped "Owen Bennett, with the assistance of Liam Grayson."

Liam turned to the blonde and noticed a grin lingering on his lips.

Exact Location: The Star Lord's Villa.

Atlas, Aeson, and his mother, Aurora stood inside an elevator patiently waiting as it went down the floors to the underground level.

"Are you sure we can trust this people?" The dark-eyed woman asked.

Aeson turned to his mother with a comforting smile on his lips. "Yes we can, Mother. All the Other Worlders want is for them to have a say in what happens on this planet, and they believe that even someone with a little human blood running through their blood will be able to get this job done."

The elevator door let out a 'ding' sound, signaling that it had reached the designated floor. "So don't worry and trust me, mother," he added before turning to the door.

The three stepped out of the elevator and into the room where they met the muscular dark-haired yellow-eyed man, the leader of the Other Worlders, Logan Baker, his second, a light-skinned caramel-haired man, Jack Collins standing beside him.

"Mr. Baker, I'm glad we could finally meet in person," Aeson said with a smile while extending his hand for a handshake.

Logan eyed the star-blood's hand for a few seconds before dropping his hand which was folded around his chest. "Do you know why I always send this clown by my side?"

The ash-haired boy dropped his hand by his side and sighed. "I'm guessing it has something to do with my blood?"

"You're damn right it does." Logan pulled out his gun from his back pocket and checked it before aiming at Aeson who continued to keep his comforting smile on.

"Aeson Orion," Logan said then scoffed. He then moved his hand from Aeson and aimed his weapon at the dark-eyed woman.

"Aurora Skye." The leader of the Other Worlders smiled as he noticed the smile on Aeson's face had disappeared and his brows were inching closer, perhaps the first time the ash-haired boy had that expression on his face.

"Gotcha."
