Chapter 3 - New Inventory

The incoming call didn't identify who the caller was. The call came as private. John couldn't receive the call. He just ignored the call and returned it in his pocket.

Just as John was contemplating about the unknown caller might be, his phone rung again indicating a new incoming call. John picked up the call, "Hello... Good afternoon?"

"Good afternoon," the man said, his voice gruff but friendly. " I'm an agent from the automotive spare parts limited and suppliers company. I will not mind if you give me your time for business sharing up."

" Yes, you have my time then. Am John." He replied to the middle edged man while peeping through the counter. Outside there was a Pagani Huayra Imola car parked along the street passway. ' This must be his car,' John thought to himself.

After a long discussion, John understood the agent. The procedures and also had exchanged details, that's the names, location, email and Identification details. The middle edged man went into his car and drove off.

As the day progressed, John couldn't stop thinking about the upcoming transformation of his store. With the delivery from Flamengo automotive spare parts limited company (FAEM). His vision for the business was starting to take shape.

However, John was interrupted by the familiar chime of the door. It was Mike again, the mechanic from down the street.

"Morning, John. Thought I'd swing by and see how things are going," Mike said, glancing around the store.

"Hey, Mike. Just got an email from AEM Suppliers. They're confirming the delivery of new stock. Thought you might want to help me go through it," John replied, holding up his phone.

"Sure thing, let's take a look," Mike said, moving behind the counter to peer at the screen with John.

They opened the email from AEM Suppliers Limited, which contained details of the delivery, the items included, and the procedures they needed to follow.

"Looks like we've got a lot to go through," Mike said, scrolling through the email. "First, we need to verify the items listed and then prepare an inventory of what we currently have in stock."

"Right. Let's make sure we have everything we need before the new stock arrives," John replied, pulling out a notepad and pen.

Together, they started listing the current inventory in the store, noting down quantities and prices. They knew they had a budget of $30,000 to work with, and they needed to make it count.

"Let's start with the basics," Mike suggested. "We need to stock up on gaskets, spark plugs, brake pads, oil filters, and a variety of other essential parts."

John nodded, jotting down the items as Mike listed them. "Got it. We should also think about some specialty items that might attract more customers."

"Good idea. How about performance parts like high-flow air filters or upgraded brake kits? They can be a bit pricey, but there's definitely a market for them," Mike said thoughtfully.

"Agreed. Let's add those to the list," John replied, writing them down. "We'll need to balance between the essentials and the specialty items to stay within our budget."

They continued to discuss and refine their list, adding items and estimating costs. After an hour of intense brainstorming, they had a comprehensive inventory list.

"Alright, here's what we've got so far," John said, reading off the list:

Gaskets - $2,800 (100 units at $28 each)

Spark Plugs - $1,500 (150 units at $10 each)

Brake Pads - $4,000 (200 sets at $20 each)

Oil Filters - $3,000 (300 units at $10 each)

High-Flow Air Filters - $2,500 (50 units at $50 each)

Upgraded Brake Kits - $4,200 (70 sets at $60 each)

Fuel Pumps - $3,500 (50 units at $70 each)

Timing Belts - $2,000 (100 units at $20 each)

Radiators - $3,200 (40 units at $80 each)

Suspension Kits - $3,300 (30 kits at $110 each)

Total: $30,000

"That looks solid," Mike said, nodding in approval. "We've got a good mix of essential and specialty items. This should definitely attract more customers."

"Agreed," John said, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Let's place the order."

They went back to the email from AEM Suppliers Limited and followed the instructions to place their order. John carefully entered the details of their inventory list, double-checking each entry to ensure accuracy. He proceeded to the payment method, Till No. USX 211xxx. He entered $30,000 as payment.

"Alright, Mike. Here goes nothing," John said, hitting the submit button. Done!

A moment later, a confirmation email arrived from AEM Suppliers Limited. John and Mike read it together.

{Dear John,

Thank you for your order. $30,000 received successfully for your inventory request and we are pleased to inform you that your items will be delivered tomorrow at 9:00 AM.

Best regards,

AEM Suppliers Limited}

"Looks like we're all set," John said, a grin spreading across his face. "The new inventory will be delivered at 9:00 AM tomorrow."

"Perfect timing," Mike said. "We'll need to be ready to unload and organize everything."

"Definitely. Thanks for your help today, Mike. I really appreciate it," John said, offering a handshake.

"No problem, John. Happy to help. I'll swing by tomorrow morning to give you a hand with the delivery," Mike replied, shaking John's hand firmly.

With the order placed and the confirmation received, John felt a wave of relief and excitement. The transformation of his store was well underway, and he couldn't wait to see the shelves stocked with new inventory.

The rest of the day was spent preparing the store for the new arrivals. John cleaned and organized the space, making sure there was plenty of room for the new items. He wanted everything to be perfect for the big reveal.

As evening approached, John locked up the store and headed towards the city to find a safe place to have a night. John made sure that the place he spent was much secured to avoid unnecessary confrontation of the Francisco family. He was exhausted but exhilarated by the progress they had made. Tomorrow would be a busy day, but he felt ready for the challenge.

The next morning, John arrived at the store early. He wanted to make sure everything was in order before the delivery truck arrived. True to his word, Mike showed up shortly after, ready to help.

"Morning, John. Ready for the big day?" Mike asked, clapping him on the back.

"Absolutely. Let's get everything set up before the truck arrives," John replied, unlocking the store and turning on the lights.

They went over the plan for unloading and organizing the new inventory, making sure they had a clear strategy in place. Just as they finished, the delivery truck pulled up outside the store.

"Here we go," John said, taking a deep breath.

The driver greeted them and began unloading the boxes, with John and Mike working efficiently to carry them inside. They carefully checked each item against their order list to ensure everything was accounted for.

"This is looking great," Mike said, stacking a box of spark plugs on the shelf. "The store is going to look fantastic once we get everything organized."

John couldn't help but agree. As they unpacked the boxes and filled the shelves, the store began to take on a new life. The previously empty shelves were now brimming with a variety of automotive parts, each one carefully placed and organized.

By the time they finished, the store looked completely transformed. John stood back, admiring their work with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

"Thanks again for all your help, Mike. I couldn't have done this without you," John said, feeling grateful.

"Anytime, John. It's exciting to see the store coming together. I think this place is going to do really well," Mike replied with a smile.

With the new inventory in place, John felt ready to take on the world. The store was finally starting to reflect his vision, and he couldn't wait to see how the customers would react.

As they finished up, John's phone buzzed with another email. It was from AEM Suppliers Limited, confirming the successful delivery and wishing him luck with his new stock.

{Dear John,

We are pleased to confirm that your order has been successfully delivered. We wish you the best of luck with your new inventory and look forward to continuing to support your investments.

Best regards,

AEM Suppliers Limited}

John smiled as he read the email. Everything was falling into place. With the support of suppliers like AEM and the help of friends like Mike, he knew his store was on the path to success.

"Looks like we're all set," John said, turning to Mike. "Now it's time to let the customers know we're ready for business."

"Absolutely," Mike agreed. "Let's get the word out and start bringing people in."

As they prepared for the grand reopening, John couldn't help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction. The transformation was just the beginning. With hard work and determination, he was ready to turn his store into a thriving business.

Suddenly, a robotic voice cracked in his mind with a prompt that danced with a congratulatory message that kept materializing in front of John.

[ Congratulations! $30,000 invested. You have received $300,000 in your bank account. New bank account balance is $300,010]

Another congratulatory message followed one after the other.
