Chapter 112 - Konan’s Request, Go To Rain Shinobi Village!

---

As the characters on the screen said their final words, the movie came to an end.

 Takuya yawned, clearly bored.

Today, he had taken his wives with him to a movie theater they booked. They chose to watch a recently popular film, "The Legend of Ninja Perseverance," based on one of Jiraiya's novels.

Even his wives loved it, but for Takuya, who remembered his past life, the movie was a bit dull. Of course, being able to watch movies with his wives was still a good experience.

"It's so touching, and the protagonist is really great," one of his wives said.

"Yes, I hope our children can be as determined as the protagonist," another added.

"Speaking of which... the main character's name is also 'Naruto.'"

"I really hope that Naruto, who is now naughty and mischievous, can become a ninja like the protagonist in the future."

Coming out of the cinema, everyone was chatting.

"For the rest of the day, you can move around freely. I won't be accompanying you anymore," Takuya said to everyone around him.

Having so many wives wasn't always easy—they could be quite noisy when they chatted.

"let's go then," said Tsunade, Kushina, and the others as they left one by one.

Today, Takuya had already made them happy by watching a movie with them. For the rest of the day, they planned to go shopping and spend time with their children.

With Konoha's current prosperity, as long as you had money, you wouldn't get bored.

After everyone left, Takuya noticed Konan standing in front of him, looking sad.

"Konan, what can I do for you?" he asked.

"Husband, can I ask you a favor?" Konan asked softly.

"What's the matter?" Takuya asked, curious.

"Not long ago, I sent a ninja on a mission to the Land of Rain to take some photos. But... through the photos, I found that the Land of Rain hasn't changed much. I would like to ask you to help me transform the Land of Rain completely," Konan explained.

Through the descriptions and photos, Konan realized the Land of Rain was still poor and backward compared to Konoha.

She had lived in the war-torn environment of the Rain Country since she was a child, and her biggest dream was to change it.

"I see. Bring the photos to me," Takuya said, raising an eyebrow.

Taking dozens of photos from Konan's hand, he frowned as he looked at the scenes of the Land of Rain.

The entire ninja world was under his jurisdiction, including the Land of Rain. According to his plan, the Land of Rain should have been much better by now.

"Konan, get ready. I'll take you to the Land of Rain myself," Senju Takuya said.

"There's nothing to prepare. We can go directly," Konan replied happily.

Hearing her words, Takuya didn't say much and activated Kamui. With a burst of spatial fluctuations, they disappeared from their spot.

"Here we are. This is the Land of Rain," Takuya said as they emerged from Kamui space.

Konan nodded. They started moving slowly towards Amegakure.

The Land of Rain was still as it usually was—overcast skies, dark clouds, and continuous light rain. The roads were muddy, and desolation was everywhere.

Seeing this scene, Konan felt heavy-hearted. She had been living in Konoha and seeing her hometown still in this state was heartbreaking.

After traveling for a while, they finally arrived at Amegakure.

"Amegakure is ahead. Let's go in and take a look," Senju Takuya said calmly.

No matter who the leader of Amegakure was now, if they went against his wishes, they would face consequences.

Konan had no objections. They put on black cloaks and sneaked into Amegakure quietly.

"Just as I thought. Nagato, are you behind all this?" Takuya sighed softly.

After entering Amegakure, he could clearly perceive the subtle hint of chakra in the falling raindrops.

Rain Tiger at Will Technique—one of Rinnegan's abilities. Nagato injected his chakra into the rain to monitor everything in Amegakure.

"Husband, what's wrong?" Konan asked, confused.

"Konan, what do you think of the current leader of Amegakure?" Senju Takuya asked.

"Whoever it is, under the current situation, they've done nothing. Such a person is not suitable to be a leader," Konan said with a cold snort.

"Anyone?" Senju Takuya asked rhetorically.

He knew about Konan's relationship with Nagato. They had grown up together, almost like family. If it was indeed Nagato, would Konan still feel the same?

Seeing Takuya's eyes, Konan suddenly felt a sense of foreboding. She knew that when he was serious, he never wasted words.

Takuya looked at Konan and said, "The current leader of the Rain Shinobi Village is... Nagato."

Konan asked in disbelief, "Nagato?!"

"Yes, if I guess correctly, that should be it," Takuya nodded.

"Why?" Konan asked, puzzled. "Why did Nagato become the leader of Rain Shinobi Village?"

"He awakened the power of the Rinnegan and has strength that surpasses Kage-level experts," Takuya said calmly. "Being the leader of the Rain Shinobi Village is nothing surprising."

Konan's brows furrowed tightly. Under the siege of Hanzō of the Salamander, Yahiko was killed, and Nagato awakened the Rinnegan. She had seen the Rinnegan's power firsthand; it was indeed a power that could surpass Kage-level. Before they parted, Nagato had vowed to avenge Yahiko by confronting Hanzō of the Salamander.

But could Nagato really kill Hanzō, known as the "demigod" of the ninja world? Konan found it hard to believe, remembering Nagato as the taciturn guy who had always hidden behind her and Yahiko.

"Husband, has Hanzō of the Salamander been killed?" Konan couldn't help but ask.

"That's right," Takuya confirmed. "Although Hanzō is still the leader of the Rain Shinobi Village in name, I can no longer feel his chakra."

Takuya activated his sensory abilities and searched the entire village. He didn't notice Hanzō's presence but sensed Nagato's familiar aura in a high tower.

Konan felt a mix of emotions. She, Nagato, and Yahiko had grown up in the Rain Shinobi Village, determined to change its war-torn state and bring peace. Now that Nagato had defeated Hanzō and taken over, why was the village still suffering?

As Senju Takuya's wife, Konan had helped Tsunade and Takuya manage ninja world affairs. She knew that following Takuya's plans would lift the village out of its misery. So why was Nagato acting against his will, leaving the villagers in dire straits?

"Husband, let's go find Nagato. There are some things I want to ask him face to face," Konan requested.

"No problem. I also have something I want to discuss with him," Takuya smiled, touched Konan's head, and they walked together to the depths of the Rain Shinobi Village.

Boom! A bolt of lightning pierced the sky, illuminating the dark room in a nearby tower. Nagato stood at the window and slowly opened his eyes.

"What's wrong?" asked Zetsu, the ninja with a pitcher plant growing from his head and a yin-yang face, who stood beside him.

"Someone is coming," Nagato spoke calmly.

"How many people?" Zetsu asked curiously.

"Two. They're coming our way," Nagato replied, his Rinnegan glowing.

"Do you need me to confirm who they are?" Zetsu offered.

"No need," Nagato said, walking out of the room.

The tower, composed of countless water pipes, had an evil spirit's head carved at the top. Nagato sat on the long tongue sticking out of the spirit's mouth, quietly waiting.

"The secrets of Rain Shinobi Village cannot be exposed. No matter who you are, you must stay here," Nagato's emotionless voice echoed.

"If there's anything you need my help with, just let me know," Zetsu said.

"L... Are you questioning my power?" Nagato turned around, his presence imposing. He had "godly" eyes and immense power. How could he need help from others?

"Don't get excited, Nagato. I didn't mean anything else," Zetsu lowered his head meekly.

"Snort! Next time you speak, be more careful," Nagato snorted, his tone dismissive.

Despite Zetsu transplanting him with vital cells that healed his body and helped him master the Rinnegan, Nagato wouldn't tolerate disrespect. He was "God," and his majesty couldn't be offended.

Zetsu stood behind him, a look of ridicule hidden on his face. What a joke, he thought. This "god" was just a pawn. The true god was its mother, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya. Once all the tailed beasts were collected, they would have a "heart-to-heart."

Nagato and Zetsu remained silent until footsteps echoed below the tower. Two figures appeared, slowly approaching.

"They're coming," Nagato opened his eyes, then leaped from the tower.

Zetsu sank into the ground and disappeared.

Nagato landed firmly on the ground and confronted the two figures. "Foreign intruders, state your purpose for entering the Rain Shinobi Village."

As Zetsu emerged behind him, a cold voice responded, "Nagato, it is indeed you."

Nagato's eyes narrowed as the two figures removed their hats. "Konan?!"

Nagato was shocked to see Konan and Senju Takuya. What were they doing here?
