"Mr. Nie, why would you say something like that?"
"Like what?" Nie Guangyi didn't understand.
"About starting an archaeological school," she said.
"What's wrong with that statement? Is there something incorrect?" Nie Guangyi asked.
"Nothing's incorrect, it's just not something that would come up in a normal conversation."
"So the lady finally discovered the fact that I'm not quite normal," Nie Guangyi readily labeled himself negatively.
Set the expectations lowest from the start, and everything after is a surprise.
Who knows which master in which place gave advice to someone, and just like that, Nie Guangyi had applied it.
"That's not what I mean," Meng Xin Zhi explained, "Cultural relics and museums are already not the most popular disciplines. If such a suggestion came from a professor at our college, it would make sense, but I'm curious, why would Mr. Nie make such a remark? It doesn't seem like the kind of suggestion that one just casually throws out."
