Due to Professor Nie's involvement, Nie Guangyi had previously accepted a project called "The Coffee Museum."
This project, touted as a museum, didn't bear much resemblance to a real museum and wasn't the kind of design Nie Guangyi would normally accept under regular circumstances.
The client was a coffee merchant named Wa Hua, who ran a fairly large business.
He mainly dealt with the import and export trade of coffee and had also collected some Victorian-era coffee cups and coffee brewing utensils.
In recent years, impacted by various factors, his trade continued, but due to increased transportation costs and a changing competitive landscape, he didn't make much profit.
Seeing several domestic coffee retail brands emerge and even go public, Wa Hua increasingly felt aggrieved.
Both were in the coffee business, yet those in retail made a fortune, while he, a bulk commodity importer and wholesaler, watched his profits gradually slip away.
