"Master, go check the other courtyards. Leave no one behind who shouldn't be spared." Her gaze shifted back, settling on Elder Ye Wen and the others.
"Understood, I'll do it now." Elder Ye Wen nodded, gesturing with his eyes to Old Bai and the others. Four figures, four streaks of light, shot off in four different directions.
This night was destined not to be peaceful. Before long, the sounds of unrest and cries of battle rose from the Lord Residence. The previous battle had destroyed two Great Grandmasters, five Grandmasters, about twenty Advanced-level Sages, and several hundred Archers guarding outside. What remained were some scattered Guards who were hardly worth fearing.
About half an hour later, Elder Ye Wen and the others returned.
"There were about a dozen Advanced-level Sages in the north courtyard, all have been eradicated," reported Old Mo, standing solemnly.
"The south courtyard was full of ordinary Guards, who surrendered en masse."
