After washing her face, Yan Luoxi emerged to find the familiar aroma of dinner displacing the antiseptic smell in the room. She eyed the four dishes and a soup laid out on the table, a feast so sumptuous it warmed her just above the stomach.
Thinking about it, aside from the times Sweet Girl came over to supervise her meals, she hadn't really had a proper meal. Having wallowed in dejection for so long, she now felt ravenous.

Yan Luoxi swallowed hard and walked over to sit down at the round table, where Li Yeqi placed a bowl of rice in front of her. He moved his chair closer to her.
Yan Luoxi narrowed her eyes slightly but didn't move her chair. She picked up her chopsticks, grabbed a piece of spicy-numbing chicken, and put it in her mouth. Aunt Tong's cooking was unmatched; it couldn't be found outside.
