Chapter 16 - Chapter 16

While looking at the meek pig, Ceceada felt weird when he noticed that he don't feel anything for the pig, like it is just another disposable item to be used.

He can't explain why though. Maybe, this is somehow the result of reviving the piglet; he doesn't know and it is just a guess.

Noff! Noff!

While he is thinking about this, the piglet suddenly started to affectionately motorboat his belly, the piglet making wild affectionate sounds.

In contrast to what the piglet might expect, when seeing the pig doing this kind of action to him, Ceceada only felt indifference with no affection at all. As a matter of fact, he just felt hungry while looking at the pig.

Weirdly, he felt like that the pig was meant to serve, obey, and die for him. Like it is not even an animal anymore, but only a soulless tool for him to play with.

At the same time, he noticed that the the pig has no cultivation at all and haven't even started cultivating yet, since it is still young. Nevertheless, it still took the majority of his mana, making Ceceada a bit irritated of the existence of the piglet in front of him.

Intuitively, Ceceadea understands that the difficulty of reviving someone is directly correlated with the cultivation level of the corpse being revived. So the higher the cultivation, the more mana it will consume to heal and revive.

He wondered on whether healing actually does revive a corpse. Maybe it does, but it just heals the vessel for the soul. And probably, the actual soul is already long gone the instant the vessel dies.

In Ceceada's perspective, although the pig is alive, it doesn't have a soul.

This probably explains why he feel this way, that feeling that the pig is nothing but a tool.

Ceceada's eyes looked down on the piglet who is affectionately motorboating his belly, his eyes showing indifference and hunger instead.

Growl! Noff!

He can feel some air because of the exhalation of the pig while motorboating on his belly, while the pig is also making weird affectionate sounds that just disgusted Ceceada instead.

He closed his eyes in annoyance and focused on recovering mana on his core.

The moment Ceceada thought of recovering his mana, something unexpected occurred in front of him.

Ceceada eyes was replaced by surprise as he watched the pig, which was motorboating him on his belly, suddenly dropping on the cave floor, instantly losing consciousness for no reason at all.

The moment it dropped on the floor, Ceceada saw bluish liquid mana being sweated out from the piglet's pores.

These bluish mana floated in the air for a while before starting to swirl around Ceceada.

Ceceada watched with curiosity as the mana that had just started to swirl around him had also started to enter his body, quickly traversing towards his core.

He noticed himself rejuvenating again as the liquid mana from the pig returned to him, slowly but surely reducing the initial dizziness that he was experiencing when he instantly lost mana.

After a few seconds, all the mana are all now absorbed back into his body with almost no difference from the amount of mana that entered the pig.

That's convenient!

Ceceada's eye lit up as he felt the initial dizziness disappearing almost instantaneously in his mind.

While rejoicing from the recovery of his mana, Ceceada is also thinking about the convenience of having the ability to retrieve his mana back from the pig.

He grinned and look at the pig who just died... again.

Ceceada's felt hungry consuming him when he looked at the pig, making his stomach growl. However, he shook his head and prepared to cook, something he should have done much earlier.

He rubbed his chin while looking at the piglet, pondering in his heart on how he should start preparing the pig for cooking.

He can see that the piglet has still has a lot of fur on its skin.

Although a bit blurred in his memory, he can remember that there is a way to remove the fur of an animal, a method that he learned from a television show.

This method involves pouring boiling water on the skin of the slaughtered animal to remove its fur. He doesn't know how it works, but he will try.

In one of his rings, he can see some clay pot containers with water on it. He quickly took one out from the ring.

He quickly conjured a very small fireball and spun it around the clay pot while urging it to release tiny bit of heat.

With the extreme heat of the fireball, It didn't take a minute before the water inside the clay pot boiled, so Ceceada quickly absorbed the fireball back into his body, turning the remaining energy into mana.

After that, he poured the boiling water the pig's skin, flipping the pig on its side to make sure that every part of the pig also gets the scalding water.

After that, Ceceada took out an ordinary, but sharp knife on his ring and started to scrape the loose fur from the pig's body. With the help of the hot water, it didn't take long.

He then slashed the neck of the pig to let it bleed, making a puddle of blood on the floor. With a puddle of blood on the floor, Ceceada can smell the metallic odor in the air.

Right after, he took out a huge wooden bowl from one of his rings. With that, he took out the spices and made it appear inside the bowl.

Various spices such as plant leaves, roots, fruits, mushroom and many more spices can be now found inside the bowl.

As the spices are now in front of him, their smell started to waft in the air, making Ceceada even more hungry.

At the same time, he felt that although some of these spices just looked the same as the spices from earth, they are still far superior than the spices back on earth in every aspects. This is because of the sheer existence of mana in this world, affecting every aspects of this world.

Although he had never cooked something like this on earth, with omelets being the only thing he can cook, he still felt like that the outcome of what he is doing will be extremely delicious.

On the bowl with spices, he took out a handful and clasped his hand lightly, squeezing the ingredients together inside his clasped hand.

Splurt!

Doing this, some reddish liquid oozed out from the liquid dying Ceceada's hand at the same time.

Mixing the wonderful spices together, the smell that are wafting the air intensified further, urging Ceceada to speed up crushing these ingredients together.

He did this again and again, until he can see that all of the ingredients are now crushed into reddish liquid on the wooden bowl.

Seeing that these are now ready for applying on the piglet's body, he carried the bowl with one hand and walked towards the pig. After that, he squatted in front of it while placing the huge bowl next to the pig.

He took out a handful of a handful of the liquid spice and slapped it lightly on the pig's flank. He then started to massage the liquid on that part to spread it around the pig's body.

While applying the liquid spice on its body, Ceceada can see that the liquid dries up in contact the pig's skin, easily seeping into it. At the same time, it colored the pig's furless skin with reddish hue.

It didn't take long, the entire skin of the pig is now covered with reddish hue, glistening and giving the skin a glossy texture.

However, Ceceada saw that there is still some liquid spice remaining on the wooden bowl.

He didn't think much of this problem and using his fingernails, he made a huge cut on the pig's belly. Instantly, blood oozed out from it, increasing the size of the puddle on the floor.

Also some organs escaped from the huge cut and almost touched the floor. Fortunately, it is still connected on the insides of the pig and didn't fall completely.

Seeing this, Ceceada smiled and waited to let it bleed further. After waiting for a while and seeing that it is no longer bleeding, he carefully poured the remaining reddish liquid spice inside the huge cut.

After pouring out all the spices, he took out a long, durable spear from one of his rings, then inserted it vertically from the pig's mouth towards its other hole where the food come's out after eating.

He quickly came out of the cave and destroyed some trees easily. After a while, he collected the wood pieces and stored it in his ring. He then went back inside the cave.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Various thud sounds echoed inside the cave as he quickly dropped the wood pieces from the ring.

He then compressed the wood pieces on a single spot, putting the pieces above one another, making a fireplace.
