As Aiden was about to leave the hall, his foot lifted to take a step, but he halted as a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.
It was Mia… Finally, he was able to see her, just in time, and enough to complete his task.
With his new ability, achieving that would be a piece of cake.
"Aiden... you're here too," she said, her eyes fluttering slightly.
"I had to come; my dad pestered me about it," he responded, his tone flickering as he spoke.
"And it turns out we're on the same team. I didn't even know you were around," he added. Mia only shrugged as they began walking around the hall.
"I told you I'd be here," she replied simply.
"You did?" Aiden raised an eyebrow, but then added as he remembered. "You did mention it briefly when we met Miguel and his coven."
"Speaking of Miguel, have you seen him?" he asked, his eyes scanning the hall.
