Aiden felt like his brain was getting split into smaller particles as he tried to absorb all the memories relating to Maya. When he first found himself in a new body, he hadn't been bothered about the past of its former owner and had only concerned himself with the memories presented to him.
He had the former Aiden's memories but didn't care enough to digest them all to understand and become him. If he had, he would probably have had problems distinguishing himself from the deeds of the former body's owner. That made him avoid it, but the current situation begged for it.
Aiden sighed as he was attacked by a splitting headache that threatened to break his head open. He clutched his head as he felt his soul being tugged.
As he absorbed all of Aiden's memories and emotions, he felt his soul being pulled into a dark place. He struggled, his eyes tightly closed as he fought for his soul.
